WoW TBC Paladin Leveling Tips

WoW TBC Paladin Leveling Tips

There are some choices you can make to help level your Paladin.

Every class in WoW TBC has it’s own advantages, though the way they level can differ with the right knowledge. Whether you have to buy TBC gold or grind through The Burning Crusade power levelling, you could still benefit knowing some facts about the class you’re using. In this instance, we’ll be looking at some tips for those playing as the Paladin.

About The Paladin

We feel that honesty is the best policy, and when it comes to Paladins, they aren’t exactly the quickest for you to get through TBC power levelling with. It isn’t as fast as other classes because of the pace in which they kill mobs. That said, they more than make up for it with their defences. They’re able to wear high defence armor and heal themselves efficiently. They are also very useful at keeping your health and mana in check, and don’t have too much downtime.

Choosing Your Specs

Having the best character as a Paladin isn’t always determined by the amount of TBC Classic gold you have or the TBC items you find. Having the right spec is going to go a long way. In the case of the Paladin, you should focus on Retribution. This is going to help you immensely when levelling up solo. This spec will let you help up as fast as possible with the Paladin when playing alone. This is down to the additional damage traits that you get from the talents you find on the Retribution tree. For the fastest levelling solo spec, be sure to go with Retribution.

Alternatively, if you are going to go down the route of levelling with others, then try Holy, This gives some of the best healing for single targets that WoW TBC has to offer. The talent point you get can then go towards improving the blessing spells you’re using. If you’re in the tank role, then using Protection will be helpful. It might not be the best choice compared to Retribution in terms of the speed it kills at, but it can be used both solo and in a group effectively.

Abilities

Paladins rely on buffs and such where their abilities are concerned. Their DPS rotation is much more limited, and when taking both of these into account, you can surpass abilities more often than other classes can. Having a mount is a goal for many players, and Paladins can save their TBC gold since they get their own mount for practically no charge. Without having to spend your WoW TBC gold on a mount, you can spend more on upgrading your character. Not having to fork out for a mount is really going to help your TBC gold in the long run. Keep your ranks up for your abilities too, since you’ll then be able to level up much easier.

Paladin Levelling Tips

Now that we’re a bit more familiar with the class, we can take a look at what levelling tips the Paladin has. Firstly, ensure that you have a blessing active. This should be at all times, with a rnage of choices to go with. The Blessing of Might for example will help you to increase the rate of kills that you have with the Paladin. You could also reduce the abilities used in every mob takedown.

Not only should you have blessings active at all times, but have a seal buff as well. An aura buff will be important when it comes to levelling. Should you be struggling to find a buff that’s right for you, try considering the form of damage that you are taking at the time. Mobs can be troublesome for inflicting physical damage on you, and the likes of Devotion Aura can be effective here.

The approach that you should take as a Paladin is to be attacking automatically. Since Paladins’ damage mainly comes from physical damage, your goal will be to keep your mana up and use the time that you have to your advantage.

You won’t have to looking into going to buy WoW TBC accounts for a Paladin if you’re following these methods. It’s an option if you want to get ahead of the game, but the levelling process is very steady as this class. It might not be as quick as other classes, simply due to the speed of dealing with mobs. But it does have a number of positive traits that will be very useful in both solo and group approaches. With that in mind, be sure to make the most of your experience when playing as a Paladin.

World of Warcraft – How Does Jewelcrafting Work?

World of Warcraft – How Does Jewelcrafting Work?

There’s so many aspects to World of Warcraft, and here’s how jewelcrafting helps.

There are many professions for you to pursue when playing World of Warcraft, some of which are more beneficial than others. Before you decide to buy WoW gold, here is how you can benefit from the art of jewelcrafting.

What is Jewelcrafting?

In world of Warcraft, Jewelcrafting is a profession that was brought in as part of The Burning Crusade expansion. You can use this profession to make a number of different objects in the game. This includes the likes of necklaces, statues, rings and trinkets. You can also use it to cut gems that can be used for socketed items. The figurines are what’s considered to be jewelcrafting only types of item, that are under the category of bind on pickup in the game. In Wrath of the Lich King, you have jewelcrafting specific gems too, which have better stats than normal gems.

Initially you could use jewelcrafting items even without the expansion. That said, it was only those who had The Burning Crusade that could then learn the actual profession. This changed with the introduction of Cataclysm, which made it available for everyone.

You can also use it to get gems out of mineral ores such as mithril, iron and so on. There’s five pieces of ore to be used with each casting of prospecting. The level and form of gems used relies on the ore that is being used as reagents by yourself.

Cutting Gems

After you have reached level 300 in the profession, you can then start learning how to cut gems that can be used for sockets. These need to be purchased from your faction’s Master Jewelcrafter. They can be found in the Hellfire Peninsula. Otherwise, you can purchase them from a number of faction vendors, though you will often need a certain level of reputation with them in order to buy the designs that you’re looking for. So if you have some spare gold lying around that you’ve been saving for WoW mounts for sale, this might be worth looking into.

Socketing Items

If you’re looking for items with sockets on them, then try looking in Northrend and Outland. You cut gems with jewelcrafters that are able to cut raw gems into jewels. After this, you can then put them into the relevant socket. This will offer bonus stats to the item that they are applied to. You can replace a socketed gem with another gem if you wish, though this will destroy the initial gem that was there.

As for gems themselves, they come in eight different colours. These include blue, green, meta, orange, purple, prismatic, red and yellow. If you have red, yellow and blue gems, which are primary colour gems, they will only fit the colour of the gem slot they’re in. Meanwhile, green, orange and purple will match any of the two slots that are relevant to their colour. The tertiary coloured gems are able to fit any slot whilst activating the slot bonus, though this doesn’t count for meta.

You have several gems to choose from that you can cut to fit into gems. Every colour has an uncommon gem, of which can be cut with the patterns that you get from quartermasters and vendors. These are learnable between the levels 300-325. There is also rare gems that can be cut to world drop designs once you have gotten jewelcrafting up to level 350.

Each colour of gem has an epic equivalent as well. To get these, you will have to use mining nodes within Mount Hyjal. You can also trade for them with badges of justic in Shattrath City. They are also obtained as drops in the Black Temple from mobs.

Using the Interface

If you want to socket your gems, then hold the shift key down and right-click on the item that has the sockets in it. You will then see a window that has sockets at the bottom of it. This is where you can drop your gems into. Once they’re in your desired sockets, you will see an option you can click on that says “Socketed Gems” on it.

Don’t worry, you won’t need to buy WoW gold to make the most of jewelcrafting either. The key is knowing the right places to get the relevant items and gear from. It is an incredibly useful profession, and something that you should certainly look into investing some time into if possible.

5 Reasons Why You Should Play World of Warcraft

5 Reasons Why You Should Play World of Warcraft

1. A Very Significant Game

2. Just Like Tolkien

3. Easier Entry

4. Back to Old Times

5. A Blast in Azeroth

It has been said that the age of MMORPGs is long past. If that’s the case, then what’s the point of playing Blizzard’s long-running high-fantasy MMO, especially when it has been running for fifteen years and counting? Well, we can think of five solid points to counter that statement.

Here are the top reasons why you should still play World of Warcraft in 2021 and beyond.

A Very Significant Game

Like it or not, World of Warcraft is not only one of the most popular MMORPGs, but also the most culturally significant MMO to ever hit the gaming scene. Aside from being the game of choice by personalities like Mila Kunis, Ronda Rousey, Kanye West, and the late great Robin Williams, it’s also the blueprint game for a lot of other MMOs.

Heck, even an MMO as big as Final Fantasy XIV owes a lot of its mechanics to WoW. That’s not to say that they’re WoW rip-offs, but you can’t deny how influential and enjoyable it must have been for them to go to lengths and adopt what’s working for WoW.

Just Like Tolkien

It’s safe to say that World of Warcraft has an intensely rich lore and world-building mechanic. Humans, elves of all allegiances, orcs, trolls, tauren, and the undead in a world rife with magic and conflict – it’s very much Tolkien-esque. Of course, the writing isn’t as good as JRR’s, but Azeroth is just as fascinating, huge, and diverse as Middle Earth. Plus, it’s just as allegorical to real-world issues, more relatable and easier to digest because it’s a video game. Think of a World of Warcraft account as a book club membership because you heard the word Tolkien, right? What comes to your head is the question mark if World of Warcraft somehow related to Lord of the Rings. As the a Tolkienist and a World of Warcraft regular gamer I can tell that -aside from WoW items, objects, a couple of WoW characters and some small details like The One Ring, 3 Trolls sitting around a campfire, etc. – WoW has not taken any blunt storytelling concept from LoTR as this would be a huge licensing controversy Blizzard would never have attempt to go against.

Easier Entry

Ever since Legion, Blizzard has been making a lot of moves to make World of Warcraft more palatable to players who want to try it but are daunted with all its years and its experienced players. Now, the game gives a lot of opportunities for new players to play catch-up with the rest of the player base. That means it’s easier to earn EXP and WoW Classic gold. This is still very much true with Battle for Azeroth.

Compared to previous expansions, players don’t have to grind as hard just to take on endgame PVE and PVP. While the more “protective” veterans may think that this is unfair or would “cheapen” the game, this less steep road to the endgame actually benefits everyone. Nobody’s sure how long this will be the case for WoW, but it’d be best if starting, current, and prospective players would take advantage of this.

Back to Old Times

Aside from making it a lot less difficult for budding adventurers to get on a competitive level, the themes of Legion and Battle for Azeroth have made the game more inviting to new blood. A lot of gamers, even those that have no interest in playing WoW, already know what World of Warcraft is about: the never-ending struggle between the Alliance and Horde, as well as the sudden arrival of the Burning Legion.

Sure, the two biggest factions are nothing like what they were in Warcraft II and III as the Undead and Night Elf Sentinels have become integrated to the Horde and Alliance respectively, but the old flames of war are indeed just as hot as it was before. With its return to the core concept that many prospective players have associated with the franchise, there’s no better time to start or go back to playing World of Warcraft.

A Blast in Azeroth

Lastly and most importantly, WoW is fun! After all, there’s nothing like being a warrior, spellcaster, or ranger of any of the fantastical races, trying to get stronger, taking on existential threats and political enemies, and exploring the deep mysteries of Azeroth. Truly, it’s the joy that the game brings that’s the best part of World of Warcraft.

Just because something is old doesn’t mean it’s no longer worth trying. If anything, people should know that World of Warcraft, like fine wine, got better with age. So, if you’re thinking of getting a sip from the most famous MMORPG fix – don’t think; just do it!

WoW Shadowlands: Surviving the Fracture Chambers

WoW Shadowlands: Surviving the Fracture Chambers

Get rid of those pesky assassins!

Torghast, also known as the Tower of the Damned, is one of the most imposing figures in World of Warcraft lore. Recently, a rather notorious wing opened up—the Fracture Chambers. Naturally, the WoW faithful celebrated as a new wing means a new place to discover and more WoW gold to loot! Unfortunately, it is rife with deadly assassins looking to end your adventure in one fell swoop. But fortunately, we’re here to guide you along. So fill your virtual pockets with cheap WoW gold, pack up your essential WoW items, and get ready for a long adventure.

Here’s our essential guide to mitigating those pesky assassins in the Fracture Chambers!

Fracturing Forces

The main thing to note about the Fracture Chambers is that it constantly seeks out fresh prey—that means you! To its end, it calls out Mawsworn Shadestalker every half-a-minute while its target is not currently engaged in combat. It is also bumped up with a 10% health increase which stacks up over time.

Complications & Mitigations

As if dealing with the constant threat of assassins isn’t enough, you’ll also need to have your wits about you to complete puzzles. A surefire way to mitigate this complication is to ensure that you are constantly in combat mode.

To mitigate them you’ll need to bide your time in the so-called break rooms. As the torments of the tower will be inactive there, you’ll get some much-needed rest to compose yourself. Take note, however, that there really isn’t any way to permanently deactivate the tower’s torments.

It’s also worth noting that Mages and Hunters play a crucial part in this. The former because of their inherent ability to polymorph creatures and the latter because of their skill in setting traps which can turn the tide in your favor during combat.

Also, it’s important that you go about your raid wisely. By that, we mean using the mawrats to your advantage. It will be easy to engage one in combat as they are practically littered all over Torghast. Do note that you shouldn’t get carried away during your engagement. DO NOT KILL IT as you need to be in perpetual combat mode. If, for some reason, you can’t spot mawrats, then you’ll just have to make do with lowly enemies such as skeletons. That way, you’ll remain in combat mode while still being relatively safe.

The Fallen

If and when you manage to make it through the initial challenges of the Fracture Chambers, you’ll need to muster up your courage for one final push: Facing Kosarus the Fallen. There are different bosses whom you will encounter in the Fracture Chambers, but he is the one that’s worth noting. With his unique ability of Predator’s Gaze, it won’t be an easy task. For one, you’ll need to keep steady every time he casts it. Don’t despair though as you can prevent this by stunning him quickly. Again, DO NOT MOVE. Now, we’re not saying you should let yourself be a target; you can still attack him using various WoW items such as smoke bombs.

Kosarus has another ability in the form of Collapse, a random AoE. This should be easy to avoid so we won’t delve deeper into it. The key to defeating him is to really negate his first ability. When all things are considered, it’s really the only thing that makes him a formidable foe anyway. Again, you’ll encounter other bosses,

Conclusion

Torghast is filled with massive challenges—especially for the unwary. Make sure to buy WoW gold and stock up on your essentials before you even think about taking on this challenge. That being said, no challenge is so daunting that it can’t be overcome. And with this Fracture Chamber guide, you’ve taken your first step to conquering the seemingly unconquerable. Do you have what it takes to take up the gauntlet? We hope so—great rewards await you after all. Good luck and see you in Azeroth!

World of Warcraft – How You Can Obtain the Pricey Mighty Caravan Brutosaur Mount

World of Warcraft – How You Can Obtain the Pricey Mighty Caravan Brutosaur Mount

The heftily priced WoW mount in WoW may set you back a lot of coins, but there are ways of grinding towards affording it.

The Mighty Caravan Brutosaur, should you desire to own one, is going to set you back a fair amount of your WoW Classic Gold. In fact, it just so happens to be the most costly WoW mount that’s available in the entirety of World of Warcraft. If you do want to get your hands on this WoW mount, then its either going to cost you a LOT of money or you’re going to need to put some work in.

via GIPHY

The Cost of WoW Mounts

Typically, you can get the amount for the game from the store for $25. For the Mighty Caravan Brutosaur however, you are going to need a significant amount more. When it first released, the value of the WoW mount stood at about $475. For $20, you can purchase WoW tokens, which can buy game time and be sold in the auction house in exchange for in-game gold. Back then, if you had no gold, you would have needed 24 tokens to buy the Mighty Caravan Brutosaur.

Fast-forward to more recent times, and the tokens are worth around 140,000 gold. Seeing as the tokens set you back $20 of real money, it would cost you over $700 for this World of Warcraft Mount. Its also going to be harder to obtain, with it being moved to the black market, making it rarer and more expensive than it was before.

So needless to say, if you want to get this WoW mount, it’s going to take a lot of effort on your behalf, since its more than likely that you aren’t going to want to part with an absurd amount of your real-life cash. Thankfully there are ways for you to make a decent profit to be able to eventually afford one.

What Method Should I Use to Get the WoW Mount?

A good way of gold making to go towards your World of Warcraft Mount is to buy and sell materials for profit. The reason being is that this is a task that you are able to do whilst you’re AFK. It may not be the most glamourous way of doing things, and it is probably one of the more time-consuming methods that are out there, but nevertheless, it is going to fetch you enough gold in the long run.

You could also use more than one character to earn gold. If you use several maxed-out characters to do this then you can make a fair amount of gold to go towards your rather hefty goal. This method, using an Alt Army, can be a long, long process. Having to level several characters is naturally going to take you a long while. So as with the previous method, its time consuming, but in the end, it’s worth it to have something to go towards your goal.

You could also head down to the auction house to see what WoW Classic items are in high demand. By making these World of Warcraft items to sell there, you can make an insane amount of gold. This method will be unavailable when the next expansion, Shadowlands arrives, so be sure to make the most of this whilst you have the opportunity to do so.

Yes, the sheer amount needed in order to purchase the Mighty Caravan Brutosaur is borderline absurd for many. The very fact that the comparison to real-world money from the amount of WoW Gold that you are going to need ventures up into costing you way into the high hundreds if you want to buy it outright with no tokens already in place can be very daunting. It isn’t impossible for you to do however, it will ultimately take a lot of dedication and some smart tactics for you to make sure you can get enough in a reasonable time. Regardless of what method you choose, it is going to take time, but imagine the feeling when you are finally riding around on the back of your very own WoW Mighty Caravan Brutosaur? The envy of many players, for sure.

OSRS – Nightmare Unique Loot Drop Guide

OSRS – Nightmare Unique Loot Drop Guide

The Nightmare of Ashihama has some great unique loot drops, including an armor set and two formidable weapons.

Whilst out questing for OSRS Gold and glory, you may have come across the Nightmare of Ashihama. Often abbreviated to The Nightmare, this formidable creature found in the Sisterhood Sanctuary, and can drop a series of eye-catching pieces of loot. Before we take a look at what this loot is, you will need to make sure that you have gotten to a point where you can access Morytania. Apart from that, there are no extra requirements needed to fight The Nightmare.

As far as what The Nightmare is, the enemy described as a “large, otherworldly horror” that takes the life force from those who are asleep, which drained until there is no more. This is also said to be the cause of terrifying nightmares, making the name a particularly good fit. Yet, if you do decide to take her on, then you could end up getting one of the following drops.

The OSRS Nightmare Staff

The drop from the Nightmare is described as once belonging to the shamans of Ashihama, though the real name of it has now been lost in translation. If you do manage to get a hold of one, then you will be required to have level 65 Magic, as well as 50 hitpoints School RuneScapes in order to equip it.

What’s more, players are able to attach three different orbs to the staff to give them different abilities. By attaching a Volatile, Harmonised, or Eldritch orb to the staff, you will create a Runescape staff nightmare with a precursor of whichever orb you attached, for example, the Eldritch Nightmare and so on. It is a rare chance of dropping at 0.437%, but with its Magic attack and defense bonuses, its worth keeping an eye on.

Eldritch Orb

As mentioned above, there are three orbs that you can attach to the Nightmare Staff, and these orbs are dropped by The Nightmare also. The orbs are incredibly rare drops, with Eldritch coming in at 0.0972%.

If you do manage to get a hold of one and attach it to Old School Runescape Staff Nightmare, then you can use it to auto-cast offensive standard spells. You will need the same 50 Hitpoints as the staff does to wield but will also need 75 Magic skill to go with it. It can also be used for Ancient Magicks, so it can prove to be very valuable to you.

Harmonised Orb

The chances of a Harmonised Orb dropping is the same as the Eldritch Orb and can be used on The Nightmare Staff to make the Harmonised Nightmare. To wield this OSRS staff nightmare, you will need the same requirement stats as those with the Eldritch Orb. The difference between the two orb staffs is that the Harmonised Staff Nightmare cannot auto-cast Ancient Magicks.

What it does offer however is increased attack speed when casting from the standard OSRS spellbook without any delay. It can also be used in PvP world settings since it isn’t technically classed as a powered staff, which is good news if you ever find yourself in this situation.

Volatile Orb OSRS

The Volatile Orb has the same drop rate as the previous two, and once again has the same wielding requirements. It also works in a similar way of the Eldritch Orb, in that it can auto-cast offensive standard ancient spells and Ancient Magicks when combined to make the Volatile Nightmare Staff.

When this staff is created, it has a special attack known as Immolate. This takes 55% of special attack energy from the player who contributes 50% more accuracy to their range attacks. Naturally, this is going to create a pretty high and accurate amount of damage. Just how much magic damage is caused depends on where your Magic level is at, with a maximum possible hit of 80 when you reach level 99. This is increased to 89 if you find yourself on a Slayer task.

Inquisitor’s Armour Items

There are three Inquisitor’s armor drops that can come from The Nightmare. With the exception of the Inquisitor’s Mace, which we will discuss shortly, there is a 0.291% chance of you getting your hands on them.

Starting with the Great Helm, you will need 70 Strength and 30 Defence in order to equip it. Once you have done so, you will be able to increase your base damage and accuracy if you use crush attacks. This is boosted if you manage to get all of the pieces of the Inquisitor’s armor.

The Inquisitor’s Hauberk has the same requirement stats as the helm as part of the armor sets. By equipping it you will also see the same increases of damage dealt with accuracy, which stands at 0.5%, increasing to 2.5% when equipped with the other pieces of armor. Meanwhile, the final piece of the armor set is the Inquisitor’s Plateskirt. It’s worth mentioning that all these Inquisitor’s items count towards being a Zamorakian item when you are in the God Wars Dungeon.

Inquisitor’s Mace

Finally, there is a mace that can accompany that armor set you’ve just read about. Though it has a rarer drop rate at 0.146% compared to the armor items and Nightmare Staff, it can be a useful item to get a hold of.

Since the armor set has boosts that cater to the crush attack style, it comes in handy that the mace is a crush weapon. You will need 75 Attack in order to wield it, and thankfully doesn’t need any charges, nor does it degrade. As far as its combat stats go, it has a +95 crush bonus, as well as a +52 stab attack bonus. It also has a +89 Strength bonus, so it can prove to be a very effective weapon.

These are the unique drops that you can expect to see from The Nightmare. Each time you kill it there is a chance for you to roll two unique drop tables, which will contain one of each of the items and armor. So whilst you won’t have to fork out your OSRS Gold, you will need to defeat The Nightmare a few times to get the chance to earn all of the items on this list. Having said that, the bonuses with the armor and its overall look is very appealing, so if you are prepared to fight The Nightmare, then be sure to try and get as many of these items as you can.

Have you managed to acquire these items? Let us know in the comments section below!

Raiding Can Wait: What to Do Before Blackwing Lair Drops in WoW Classic

Raiding Can Wait: What to Do Before Blackwing Lair Drops in WoW Classic

Contrary to what WoW’s PVE culture has become, there is more to WoW Classic than just raiding… and then eagerly waiting for the next raid to come. Fittingly enough, with Phase 3 inbound, WoW Classic will have Blackwing Lair soon. So, aside from raiding current dungeons and amassing WoW Classic Gold, what are other things can you do before the not-so-new content hits?

Here’s a list for that.

The Class Struggle

While Blackwing Lair is the content players are most excited about, there’s more to Phase 3 than that. In fact, there are other equally important things coming, and among them are class quests.

Aside from the fact that this will lead players to the Sunken Temple, it will also give them a chance to choose between three items. Each of them has pros and cons, so choose wisely. But don’t focus on just the dungeon or the item you will get from it. Rather, brush up on the quests as a whole so you can better prepare for them.

Dancing in the Moonlight

You can enter a raid any time, although there’s not much point doing so if you’ve already hit the lockout. Then other events aren’t exactly time-limited, but you don’t exactly have round-the-clock access to them. A good example of that is the Darkmoon Faire.

This regular event, which will give you the chance to buy items you won’t be able to find anywhere else, happens only once a month. Thankfully, it lasts a week, but it’s still easy to miss out on if you happen to be too busy with other content.

There are all sorts of trinkets for sale, and many of them give considerable boosts. And if you’re either a priest or a druid, the trinket Darkmoon Card: Blue Dragon is a must-buy, as it grants a 2% chance of getting 100% mana regeneration after casting a spell. This effect lasts for 15 seconds. With how often these two classes cast spells because of their support role, it’s going to be quite the help.

Getting Ready

If you really can’t take raiding off your mind, here’s a good way to do something different but related to it: preparing consumables for it. While waiting for Blackwing Lair to arrive, start farming for these items now, so that you can just focus on raiding later on, and then do other things aside from farming once you got locked down.

If you’re a tank, there’s another raiding-related preparation you should be doing now: installing a threat meter. Because most bosses in Blackwing Lair can’t be taunted, you’re going to have to hold their aggro the old-fashioned way. If you don’t have a threat meter, this can get quite tricky.

Thankfully, there are lots of threat meters you can find online, and most of them are for free. It takes less than an hour to download and install a meter, so the hardest thing to do when it comes to installing them is opening your browser and hitting that download button.

Last but not least, get yourself the Onyxia Scale Cloak. Without it, you won’t be able to fight the black drake bosses in the raid, as they have the deadly ability called Shadowflame, which deals massive damage over time.

To get one, you have to turn over Onyxia’s head to Bolvar Fordragon. You’ll find him at the Stormwind Keep.

Don’t just slack off while you wait for the Blackwing Lair to drop; do the things we recommend. Trust us, you’ll be better off for it. So, which of these things are you going to do first? Let us know!

A Simple Guide to WoW Classic’s Blackwing Lair Raid

A Simple Guide to WoW Classic’s Blackwing Lair Raid

Simple doesn’t mean short, though

WoW Classic Blackwing Lair Raid

WoW Classic’s The Blackwing Lair has eight bosses your group will have to defeat. Each of them has mechanics and attacks to keep track of and have coinciding measures against. There’s also the ‘Suppression Room’ which was the first raid gauntlet in the history of World of Warcraft. Everything you need to do in the raid is a delicate balance requiring teamwork, coordination, and communication to get through.

The rewards are numerous, from awesome pieces of gear to some amount of WoW Classic gold. There’s also the resulting camaraderie and undeniable feeling of accomplishment in completing such a difficult raid. Without further ado, here are the bosses, and how you can deal with them.

Razorgore the Untamed

The first hurdle of the raid isn’t too hard to defeat, as long as you know what you’re doing. What your group needs to do in order is:

  • Take control of the orb on the left side of the room
  • Use mind-controlled Razorgore to destroy eggs
  • Then defeat him

Of course, it isn’t that simple in practice. Rush to the Orb of Domination and nuke its guardian, making it available to use. Minions appear as you try to destroy eggs, requiring the rest of the group to split into four to cover more ground. Each group must have a good distribution of off-tanks, DPS, and healers. Then, when it’s time to defeat him, ranged attackers should run and hide behind a pillar near the mind-controlled orb. That way, they get to avoid the damage from his Fireball Volley, while still staying in range.

Melee attackers and tanks need a Free Action Potion, as Razorgore will stomp and disorient players in range. If you want to keep the damage up, the potion is necessary to continue the onslaught.

It is necessary to have your main tank take control of Razorgore, as once he breaks free of the mind control, he will target whoever controlled him last. Also, have at least two tanks with the most threats on him, since he is immune to taunts. Have them build up aggro, so he won’t go out of control once a Conflagration happens.

Vaelastrasz the Corrupt

You’ll want to defeat him as fast as you possibly can. The group will not survive a war of attrition against him. It’s a good thing a buff called ‘Essence of the Red’ applies to everybody in the room once the fight starts. The benefit it gives is unlimited resources. Spam all of your max level spell and abilities to defeat him as fast as possible.

The reason for that is the other buff that will apply to only one character, Burning Adrenaline. While it doubles the damage dealt and negates cast time, it reduces health every second until death. Upon death, they explode, dealing massive damage to whoever’s nearby. Anyone who gets it should still deal as much damage (or healing) as they can while moving away from the others. If you take too long, your main tank will get it, and they will die no matter what.

Since the boss is also immune to taunts, you need an off-tank to keep control of him. Fury WarriorsHeroic Strike is good for this if they’re the off-tank. Others with the same class should use Cleave instead to keep their threat down. At any rate, if the whole group has high enough DPS, Vaelastrasz should go down pretty quickly.

Broodlord Lashlayer

Broodlord Lashlayer waits at the end of the Suppression Room, which you’ll have to get through to fight him. Getting through the room is a dance of kiting and defeating Hatchers and Taskmasters, disabling pylons, and running to the next safe spot. It’s more complicated than that, but it’ll take too long to describe here.

Fighting the boss, everybody should be positioned with their backs against the wall, even the boss. That way, when he uses Blast Wave, nobody gets flying back into the Suppression Room. The other mechanic to watch out for is Knock Away, which targets your tank and reduces their threat by half. Again, off-tanks should have the second or third most threat. Keep the tanks alive and threatening, sustain the DPS, and you should have no trouble defeating him.

Firemaw, Ebonroc, and Flamegor

These three drakes have similar mechanics, though they have a different third mechanic. All three of them can cast Shadowflame, so an Onyxia Scale Cloak is required for these bosses. They also have the Wing Buffet ability, which reduces threat on your tanks.

Firemaw has the Flame Buffet ability, which casts a stacking debuff on whoever gets hit. Ebonroc gets the Shadow of Ebonroc ability that casts a rather un-dispellable debuff on your tank. The debuff heals him for 25,000 points for every melee hit. Flamegor has the Fire Nova ability, which can be interrupted by a hunter’s Tranquilizing Shot.

So, the scale cloak counters Shadowflame and having tanks time their taunts counters Wing Buffet. For Flame Buffet, have two cycling groups for everybody. As one group hides to wait out the debuff, the other goes in range to fight or heal. The drakes are taunt-able, so you can have your main tank hide to wait out the debuff while an off-tank taunts him.

The strategy for Ebonroc’s unique ability is to have an off-tank taunt him if the debuff lands on the main tank. The main can then taunt him back if the off gets it. The tactic for Flamegor is to have hunters interrupt his Fire Novas.

There is a position that lets healers be in the line of sight of the tanks yet hidden to avoid getting Flame Buffet stacks. If your group finds it, healers don’t have to move to do their job.

Chromaggus

As befitting the second to the last boss of the raid, Chromaggus has many mechanics your group has to manage and counter. First are his breath attacks. He has five, though he can only use two breaths for every instance of the raid.

They are:

  • Incinerate: deals high fire damage in a cone in front of him
  • Corrosive acid: inflicts a damage over time debuff and reduces armor for its duration
  • Frost Burn: deals low frost damage and reduces attack speed for a short time
  • Ignite Flesh: similar to Incinerate, but has lower damage that can stack
  • Time Lapse: Stuns targets for 6 seconds, leaving half their health and reducing threat permanently

They’re also color-coded as red, green, blue, black, and bronze in the same order. He’ll let out a breath every 30 seconds, so with about 5 to 10 seconds left of the cast, everyone should run and hide. The main tank should backpedal to keep aggro yet avoid the breath, and healers should keep healing them.

When you read through these breaths, you’ll notice that the last one is something you don’t want to get as a mechanic in your raid. Have potentially four back-up tanks to keep the aggro off of the squishier characters if you ever get it. Switch up the tanks and carefully manage threat so everyone can do their jobs.

The second mechanic to look out for is his debuffs. There are also five and they’re color-coded as well.

  • Brood Affliction Red deals fire damage every 3 seconds and heals Chromaggus if the character dies from it
  • Brood Affliction Green reduces healing by half and deals nature damage every 5 seconds
  • Brood Affliction Blue slows movement and casting speed, and drains health and mana
  • Brood Affliction Black doubles fire damage received
  • Brood Affliction Bronze stuns the afflicted every 4 seconds and can only be removed by using Hourglass Sand

Dispel the afflictions constantly. Since the debuffs are all different types, any class with a dispelling ability should use whatever they have. Anyone who gets all five gets morphed into a hostile Drakonid that can wipe the whole party. The morphed character can be killed, but the act will also heal the boss.

The next mechanic is frenzy. Emotes alert you of when he’ll start it, which is when hunters should use Tranquilizing Shot to stop. Have 3 or 4 hunters on that duty, as the bronze affliction’s stun might take effect at that moment.

The last is Chromaggus’ magic vulnerability. Throughout the fight, he’ll shimmer, and the chat would say “Chromaggus flinches as its skin shimmers”. After the emote, he’ll become intensely vulnerable to a certain school of magic. Magic classes should find out what it is, and use that school of magic for their next spells. Because of the vulnerability, even weaker spells deal good enough damage. In a situation where they don’t have that kind of spell, a wand that deals that kind of damage will do.

Keep all of these in mind while dealing damage, and defeat Chromaggus!

Nefarian, the Lord of Blackwing Lair

Now, you’re up against the final boss of the raid. Before you’re able to, you’ll have to defeat his minions first. They’ll come from two sides, and you can split your group to deal with them both. Mages can make up one group, as one side will have frost resistant dragon and worm kin. Have the rest of the DPS handle those, and have the mages handle the other side.

At some point, Nefarian will come down in his human form and cast Shadow Volleys. Drink a Shadow Protection Potion to counter those, and continue defeating the minions.

Soon, he’ll turn into his dragon form and the real fight begins. Wearing the Onyxia Scale Cloak will take care of the brunt of his version of Shadow Flame. Again, tanks have to keep aggro and keep to his sides. Position him facing the far end of the balcony. He inflicts a debuff on whoever’s closest which reduces healing. Dispel it immediately if on the tank. He can also cast fear in a circle around him, so Fearwards, Tremor Totems, or changing stances are important in the fight.

His most annoying ability is the Class Call. It has different effects depending on which class is called, and everybody must be prepared to deal with them when they come.

Here are the actions classes should do when their call arrives:

  • Druids should stay back
  • Hunters should switch or unequip their weapons
  • Mages can cast Ice Block, or Priests and Paladins have to be on the ball to dispel polymorphed allies
  • For Paladins’ call, everybody should stop attacks, as no threat will be generated at the time. If it is well established, cast Judgement of Wisdom on him and magic users can attack him with wands
  • Priests must stop healing with direct spells. They may use Renew and Power Word: Shield.
  • As for Rogues’ call, tanks should carefully reposition the boss to avoid the annihilation of the group’s Rogues
  • When Shamans’ call comes, have all DPS be on totem killing duty. Shamans should wait until the call ends to regenerate mana
  • Kill the Corrupted Infernals that will appear during Warlocks’ call
  • Everybody should watch their threat and healers intensify their healing on the tanks for the Warrior Call. When it’s over Warriors can go back to the stance they want

At 20% health, Nefarian will raise the minions you defeated at the beginning as Bone Constructs. Defeat them while managing the calls and debuffs. Alliance groups will have a bit of advantage as the constructs are considered undead. They’ll go down easily with enough preparation. When they’re done, everybody can go back for one final push to defeating Nefarian!

With that, your group has finished the raid. Enjoy the sweet loot and WoW Classic gold as rewards. Preparation is key, so make sure you know what you’re supposed to be doing. Don’t forget to have fun while doing the raid!

OSRS Mobile Resolution Guide

OSRS Mobile Resolution Guide

Old School Runescape (OSRS) mobile has introduced a brand new audience to the wonderful world of Gielinor. Because of the new platform switch, there may be players who have run into issues while playing the game. One issue, in particular, revolves around the resolution of the handheld device. With that in mind, here is a short guide to help you make the most of your experience on OSRS Mobile. Pay close attention and you will be slaying demons and racking up all the OSRS Gold you can get your hands on in no time at all!

Performance Fixes

If your game is running low on performance, then there are a few ways for you to rectify it. Some of these methods may sound utterly simplistic at first glance, but they are tried-and-tested ways of fixing key performance issues.

The first fix is a classic that many of will most likely have already tried when it comes to technology in general. This method involves turning your device on and off again. This technique may be greeted with a pained groan but it can actually help with your resolution. This is because it can help your device with slow data speeds, so it is definitely worth trying straight off the bat.

Another issue revolves around data and storage. Both of these need to be able to cater to your particular device. With that being said you need to make sure that your platform has enough storage space. Without the correct storage space, your game may lag midway. Even though the app itself clocks in at just under 100mb, the numbers can increase following updates. As far as data goes, you should try to find a WiFi connection wherever possible. OSRS Mobile uses up to 2mb of data on average per hour, so connecting to WiFi could help your performance woes and save the amount of data you are using.

Tablets vs. Mobile

When OSRS was announced for mobile platforms, it raised a lot of questions. One of those being what devices we would be able to use them on. Given that the game is over a decade-and-a-half old, many assumed it would run on any handheld device. This yet is not strictly true.

OSRS Mobile, as the name suggests, is focused on the mobile experience. When it comes to tablets, it may run into some issues where performance is concerned. That isn’t to say that it won’t run smoothly on a tablet, but there will be certain devices that it may not be streamlined enough on. For the time being, you should focus on keeping OSRS on your mobile and research if your tablet is capable of running it without issue.

Battery Performance

Battery life is something else you’ll need to keep an eye on to get the most out of your OSRS Mobile experience. This is something that the developers have outlined when it comes to the performance of the game on mobile. So there are a few settings you can tinker with to make the most of OSRS Mobile.

Firstly, you can increase the game’s runtime by reducing the brightness on your phone. It would also help your battery life, and game performance if you close any background apps you have running. If your resolution is suffering too, then try to avoid areas where you will find a lot of other players. This will also help your battery life from draining too much. Finally, you can also alter your FPS settings within the game. You can find this under Mobile Options where you will see a bar that says Limit FPS. You could choose to lower this to help your battery life and the performance of the game.

These few tips should help you with your resolution on OSRS Mobile. Many will have come across issues such as lagging, and battery performance. Others may have noticed screen res lowering throughout their experience with the popular handheld MMO. Now that you have a better idea of how the resolution can be optimized, you are ready to run the game. So get out there, traverse dungeons, and shower yourself in gp! Maybe you’ll earn so much you can sell it on an OSRS Gold Sell Site.
