Path to the Future: Albion Online Roadmap

Albion Online has been released for quite some time now. So much so that even its most loyal fans are now starting to ask; what’s next for the ambitiously unorthodox MMO? The answer: A lot. The team has numerous plans for the game to be bigger and better as time goes on. Check out the roadmap and see what’s in store for Albion Online in the near and not-so-near future.

Fight for the Crystal

First off the list would be improvements and new content for both PVP and open world. There is more focus on the former, especially in Guild versus Guild (GVG). That is because GvG is the highlight of high-level guild gameplay. Unfortunately, it doesn’t happen often enough, so to promote it and make it more accessible, they’re introducing the Crystal Realm GvG Battles.

To participate, guilds must have a watchtower. One watchtower means one battle slot for one of their teams in a Crystal Realm Battle.

For this particular GvG battle, there will be two timezone groups, and each territory will be in either of these groups depending on its prime time. All fights within a particular timezone will take place at the same time. So if you want to get the most or even all of the rewards from Crystal Realm Battle, you need to have several active GvG teams. That means lots of watchtowers.

Between Resources and Monster Spawns 

As for PVE, the team has also made a few adjustments. For Tier 8 resources, they will no longer be found on territories, as they will be redistributed to the open world. But despite the removal of these resources, territories will still be fought over because they still generate siphoned energy.

Also, there will be a new version of Guardian Elementals for biomes. They will be balanced so that they can put up a worthy fight against parties of 3 to 5, and will yield a good amount of resource rewards.

Aside from Guardian Elementals, the team is also considering adding extra rare open-world mob spawns. These spawns range from small and rare creatures that can be handled solo to big open-world fights that require lots of players to be taken down.

As expected, the latter will be yielding massive rewards, so hopefully, you would encounter them and have a big and considerable team with you when you do. There will be no announcements for these spawns, so you’ll really have to find them by chance. In case you don’t, fret not for your online buddies would hopefully message you about it.

That’s So Random

Last but not least, open world dungeons are going to be randomized. The devs are currently working on a system that will randomize not only the position of dungeons, but also their content. Player groups that will roam the open world will have the chance to find these dungeons and get first dibs on the special loot inside. They’re going to be worth lots of  Albion Online Silver, so make it a point to do what you can just get your hands on them.

In case you enter one, take note that other players will be able to follow you and engage you in PVP, so be very careful and wary. However, don’t be too worried about getting camped, as the dungeons are pretty difficult to find anyway.

And much like random spawns of big monsters, players will also have the chance to find consumable maps that lead to even more difficult dungeons with much better rewards upon usage. They’ll be yielding great loots, and you’ll be much safer from other players in these dungeons, so they’re definitely worth finding.

For better or worse, the land of Albion is ever-changing. With this roadmap, it’s safe to say that it’s for the latter. So greet the future of this realm with cheerful expectation and great preparation.

This free-to-play MMORPG aims to carve its own legacy in the collector’s card game while capitalizing on the much-loved Runescape lore. Success in the game doesn’t come easy. For you to make a-killin’, you’ll need to remember a few basic guidelines.

Capitalize on AI Combats in Bronze, Silver, and Gold Challenges

While there are five legends available in the game, you will only start out with one that is readily unlocked—either Ariane or Raptor. As such, the first order of business would naturally be to unlock the rest (Ozan, Linza, and Venescula) before you progress further. To unlock them, you just need to beat them. Sounds a bit simplistic? Well, yes. The complication comes in when you realize you have to do so in various levels of difficulty—which makes the hunt worth it in the end.

But wait! There’s more! Not only will going down this route unlock legends for you, but you’ll also gain access to new class cards, gain precious experience points, rack up copper points, and unlock your first three booster packs. It’s vital to keep playing against AI until you raise your Legends to level 6 and you will be able to unlock all the basic cards including runescape gold. Now that’s what we call a quest worth pursuing!

It’s All About the Right Decks

Deck building is as essential to your success in Chronicle as air is to you. You need to practice it. First, you’ll need to gather a respectable amount of cards. Then, you can focus on gaining a competitive edge for each of your Legends. Now here’s where it gets tricky. See, every Legend has its own win condition.

Don’t be tempted to accumulate as many cards as you can; you won’t be able to use them all anyway. Try to limit your deck to about 30 cards as it is the most optimum number. Focus on the early stages of the game as it is the most crucial. Slowly work your way toward preparations for your Legend’s win condition.

Center Your Strategy Around Meta

Far too many folks simply imitate other players’ decks without putting any thought whatsoever in it. It’s a copycat game that way. However, going down that path doesn’t necessarily give you an edge. Besides, wouldn’t it be a heck of a lot more fulfilling if you came up with your own way of doing things instead of merely mimicking someone else?

The thing is, for you to succeed in this game, it’s vital to study matches and learn from them afterward. Taking down notes can spell the difference between victory and defeat. For instance, you will see patterns from previous battles emerge. Do you often face opponents with strong weapons and armor? Then add spells as Earth Blast or Earth Wave as they target those specifics into your deck!

While there’s really no “be all, end all” way to succeed in a game like Chronicle: Runescape Legends, a few tips and tricks can indeed help you get far. Every Little Thing You Do: OSRS Magic Training Guide

One of the most useful skills in RuneScape–and of course, also in Old-School RuneScape–is magic. While it’s chiefly a combat skill, it has also a wide variety of utility-related applications, making it one of the more practical skills for players to level up. You can even use it to farm OSRS gold! Plus, it’s not exactly a difficult skill to level up in the first place, and this is true even for non-member players. Nevertheless, it’s pretty understandable to ask for help every so often.

So for your reading pleasure, here is a (not-so)short guide to efficiently raise your Magic skill level.

From 1 to 19, Then to 25

For levels 1 to 19, simply casting magic on weak monsters like goblins, cows, and monks at Edgeville Monastery would be enough. As an alternative, you can splash, which doesn’t require much attention at all. In fact, some would even do it at high levels because for the same reasons.

Once you get past level 19, use the best strike, bolt, or blast spells in your arsenal. Putting on Magic gear such as Wizard Hat, Amulet of Magic, Wizard Robes or Zamorak Robe, and Magic or Elemental Staff will make the process more efficient.

Good targets would be Hill Giants and Hobgoblins in Edgeville Dungeon, as they drop limpwurt roots; lesser demons in Wizard Tower, which drop runes and other important items, and Al Kharid Warriors.

You can also finish the Imp Catcher and Witch’s Potion quests respectively for 875 and 325 Magic experience.

From Level 25 to 55

Upon reaching level 25, you have two methods to choose from: cheap and expensive.

For the former, you can repeatedly Splash curse to gain Magic experience. Do not cast it directly at an enemy, as it will trigger the spell’s cooldown–something that won’t happen if you just splash it. Recommended gear for this would be the Staff of Earth and armor that provides negative magic bonuses, preferably up to -65 or even lower. Skeletons at level 1 Wilderness, the caged Monk of Zamorak at Varrock Place, or the caged Lesser Demon in Wizards’ Tower.

Each cast gives 29 experience; that would approximately be at 33,000 experience per hour.

As for the expensive method, start with Varrock Teleport at level 25, Lumbridge Teleport at level 31, and finally, Falador Teleport at 37. It’s recommended that you have a staff of air equipped, as using teleport costs 3 air runes.

You don’t have to commit to one particular method; you can even switch up from time to time if you think that would be better for you. Either way, regardless of which method you choose, just continue doing so until you reach level 55.

From 55 Onwards

At level 55, you’ll be doing the same thing until level 99: casting High-Level Alchemy on different items. Those who stick to this method usually go for Gold Bars, rune equipment, adamant equipment, and others. This method is often costly, but it yields 65 Experience per cast, which is definitely not bad. In addition, some players manage to make up for lost money, or even make a profit through this particular method of Magic training.

Another method to raise Magic at this level is “tele alching”, a method which, as the name suggests, combines the properties of High-Level Alchemy and Teleporting. To do this, alch an item, teleport right after, click the high alch before spawning, and click the item right after spawning. This is done so that you won’t miss a tick when performing this particular method. Do note, however, that Falador is the best target location for this method, as it yields the most EXP for the Teleportation Spell.

There’s nothing like Magic at your fingertips, so it’s best that you make the best of it. So hopefully, these tips will help you do exactly just that. After all, who doesn’t want Magic?

Repairs Complete: Accomplishing The Architectural Alliance Quest for OSRS

From its colossal size alone, Zeah, Old-School RuneScape’s exclusive continent – because it’s only in OSRS and is only accessible to members – offers a plethora of possibilities that coupled with handsome rewards, including OSRS gold. Among them are quests, as there are lots of them that can only be found in Zeah. And one of the most important quests in Zeah is Architectural Alliance. It’s by no means a short quest, and it can get pretty complicated at times, thus the need for a guide—exactly like this one.

Not-So-Few Recommendations

Before taking on the quest, it’s strongly recommended that you familiarize yourself with Zeah’sFavour system, and has already completed Client of Kourend before starting this quest. Accomplishing the latter will help you understand the former, and will give you info about Kourend’s background lore, which in turn will help you appreciate the quest a whole lot more. Other than that, it will give you a bit of headstart, as the KourendFavour Certificate, which is a reward of the quest in question, allows you to receive 20% Favour on the house of your choice. This will greatly help you save time that would otherwise be spent on earning Favour, which could be rather painstaking.

Aside from those, here are other strongly-recommended skills and feats you should possess)

  • 42 Woodcutting (strongly recommended)
  • 15 Hunter
  • 65 Mining and at least 53 Smithing
  • 25 Cooking or higher (65 is preferred)
  • Ability to kill a lot of level 53 and 62 Lizardmen (this is so that you can gain Favour with Shayzien house)

If you still want to take on the quest despite not having those recommendations, it’s okay. Here are the hard requirements:

  • 30 Crafting
  • 42 Mining
  • 10 Slayer, or have started Plague City

Doing Huge Favours

To start the miniquest–a misnomer, as it can take quite some time to finish–talk to Hosa. You’ll find him near the King Rada I in Great Kourend. He’ll be telling you that he wants to rebuild the statue of Rada I in the center of the city, as a storm damaged it. Unfortunately, he can’t seem to receive help from a Great Architect of any of the five houses. It is then up to you to request assistance from all five of them.

However, in order to talk to a Great Architect, you need to first get 100% Favour of his house. This varies for each house. Given how extensive the steps for achieving this in every house is, you’ll have to look it up. Do note that once you have achieved 100% Favour for a particular house, you’ll need to speak to its respective Great Architect. Failing to do so and then proceeding to earn Favour for another house will cause you to lose Favour from the one you’ve already capped.

After maxing Favour for all houses and talking to all the Great Architects, you’ll find them near the statue in the middle of Great Kourend. Talk to any of them, and then there will be a cutscene where the Great Architects will be throwing rocks on the statue in order to repair it (don’t ask; this is Gielinor). And voila, the king’s statue has finally been rebuilt. As a reward, you will now unlock the Xeric’s Heart Teleport on Xeric’s Talisman, which will allow players to teleport back to the statue.

RuneScape is all about those simple yet fun quests, and Architectural Alliance can definitely be considered both. So now that you know how to finish this quest, you should definitely take them on—and we men right now.

The Ever-Changing Conflict: New Features of Battle for Azeroth

Blizzard usually releases an expansion once every two years. That is, up until Battle for Azeroth was announced, which is slated to be launched in November of this year, while they just released Legion a few months ago. Despite the short time between the two, it seems like it was enough for Blizzard to plan and create enough content in order to ensure that the going on fifteen-year-old MMO remains fresh, enjoyable, and relevant.

Old War, New Front

New things for every expansion, including WoW Mounts, however, depends on the direction of the game’s story and its core theme. For the Battle of Azeroth, the conflict is at the heart of everything and is the very heart itself. After years of factions being reduced to a mere lore-related player detail that’s determined by race, it is going to once again become an important determinant of one’s fate in Azeroth, as Blizzard will be fanning the flames of war once more between the Alliance and the Horde. It is a brilliant move, as it propels the game forward, while at the same time taking it back to its roots, perhaps even further than Legion did.

The best new feature that represents Battle for Azeroth would be the Warfront Mode. Warfronts are 20-player PVE missions that look and feel like a real-time strategy game, just like the original Warcraft games, except that this time, you are the heroes leading the charge and turning the tides of war to your advantage on the ground rather than giving orders from a birds-eye view.

Everybody Wins

Aside from the fact that it will be very reminiscent of the old Warcraft games, Warfronts will be rotating between the two factions. For example, Alliance players would first hold Stormgarde Keep, and after that, the Horde, after gaining enough resources, will lay siege on it. Stormgarde Keep, an old vanilla WoW zone, brings out the feeling of the old times even more.

Going back to the Warfronts mechanics, the opposing faction, after the victory of the other, can launch a counter. It is an eternal back-and-forth battle, and the good part is that if you are not the competitive type, it is PVE and not PVP, so launching a Warfront is a guaranteed victory. That means nobody loses, everybody wins, everybody gets rewards, and nobody will be angry about the other faction.

Do know, however, that a lot is not yet known about Warfronts. Since we are still a few months away from launch, a lot of the mechanics and small details can still change, so be ready.

World at War

Aside from a new PVE mode, PVP will also be seeing a change, as the World PVP will be replaced by War Mode. That means that the old mechanics of players being able to attack other players in servers that have their World PVP will be phased out for the new one. This time around, World PVP will be turned off by default. So, in order for players to participate in this version of World PVP, they will have to go to the capital city of their respective factions, and choose to turn War Mode on or off.

If you turn it on and go to the open world, you will be able to attack players from other factions and vice versa. It is not required to try your hand at War Mode, but those who successfully make kills will receive extra experience and Azerite Power.

Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth is not just about reigniting the strife between Azeroth’s two halves, but about changing how the two wage war against one another. Hopefully, both the Alliance and the Horde are ready for these new stages of combat.

Despite being a decade-old game with features ten years behind the base game, Old School RuneScape (OSRS) has some tips that even some long-time players probably don’t know exist. Perhaps you don’t know all the tricks of the trade that’s why we’re giving you the lowdown. Read up and make your OSRS life easier with these pointers.

Gold Amulets for Sale

Gold is one of the most significant resources players should have in the game. It’s important for players to get a chunk of gold as early as possible. Earning gold in earlier levels, however, can be time-consuming, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t simpler ways like crafting gold amulets.

In fact, crafting gold is doable with F2P players, which requires only level 8 Crafting, and its time improves the skill in question. Aside from the necessary skill level, you need gold bars and an amulet mold to craft gold amulets. Gold bars cost 93 Old School RuneScape Gold points, while gold amulets are usually sold for 159G, a 66GP profit. Once you start racking in lots of OSRS Gold, it will feel rewarding.

Going for Cheap Wine

In real life, wine is pricey. On the other hand, in OSRS, wine is much cheaper than lobsters and expensive fish. So, what does wine have to do with those two items? Well, lobsters and fish are what players usually buy so that they can use safe space spots again when they’re training for Range or Magic. Although lobsters are 200GP and only restore 11HP, wine is a whopping forty times cheaper for 5GP, and it heals just as much. The downside is that it reduces attack by 2. Then again, since you’re investing in Range and Magic, it’s safe to say that it’s your bread and butter to your combat game, so this shouldn’t be problematic.

Your Cat for Death

Selling your pet cat for Death runes may seem like a cold thing to do, but if you’re focused oriented and not too sentimental, then go for it. First, knock out Gertrude’s Cat quest. Afterward, you’ll be able to sell your cat for Death runes to a citizen in West Ardougne. The older your cat is the more runes. A fully-grown cat fetches for 200 Death Runes. It’s considerably easier to grow a cat since it only takes three hours for a cat to become fully developed. In that span of time, you’ll have to pet the cat and feed it sardines. Then, you sell it. Somewhat sad, but hey, it works.

Unlimited Tokens

If you want tokens at the Warrior’s Guild but don’t want to spend tokens to earn more, there’s an easy way to handle it. First, have 100 tokens to enter the Cyclops Room (don’t worry because you won’t use a single token). To pull off this trick, just enter the room, kill one of the Cyclops, go back out, and reenter. Since the one-limit timer starts every time you get in, you won’t consume any tokens.

Something to consider if you’re not aware, you can prayer-flick more than one prayer at a time (three to be exact). A solid combination includes (1) Attack Prayer, (2) Defense Prayer, and (3) Strength Prayer.

These handy and not-so-well-known OSRS tips can step up your gameplay. Even though these tips aren’t groundbreaking, they’ll make your life easier, so give them a shot.

Looking Forward to World of Warcraft Events

Events add a new layer to gameplay, giving players a much-needed break from grinding. Some even give event exclusive items that become more valuable as time passes. Events also increase interest for World of Warcraft (WoW), attracting amateur and veteran players. Keep in mind that events can be weekly, monthly, or even holidays. Blizzard planned an event-packed month for May, where citizens of Azeroth celebrate.

5 World of Warcraft Events in May

  1. Children’s Week: a Battleground bonus event where players receive Honor at an increased rate.

  1. PVP Brawl: capture the flag at Warsong Gulch.

  1. Darkmoon Faire: showing sights from all around Azeroth and beyond, as well as games that test the mind and courage of players.

  1. Legion Dungeon: final bosses drop an extra item upon defeat.

  1. Spring Balloon Festival: a three-day mini holiday was active.

The 2 Ongoing Events

The two current events are the Pet Battle, and the PVP Brawl: Deepwind Dunk.

  1. Pet Battle: triples the experience for gaining pets, so go out and battle (same applies to the PVP Brawl in Pandaria).

  1. PVP Brawl: Deepwind Dunk: players must grab a ball from either the center, northern, or southern areas of the map, and then go to the enemy base. From there, players can attempt either a long-range shot or go for the dunk, while trying to avoid enemies from killing them. These two events end on May 23, so take the chance now before it’s too late.

Upcoming Events

As May is coming to an end, Cataclysm dungeons will be open every three weeks for the Timewalking event. Players can revisit the dungeons from the Cataclysm expansion, and gain loot from those dungeons scaled to the character’s natural level. The event will be open for characters level 86 and above. Time walking is an excellent opportunity to gather World of Warcraft Gold since these items cannot be obtained anywhere else.

On the 27th of May, the Glowcap Festival will take place in Zagarmarsh. Help the sporelings keep the great Fshoo alive. You never know, they might reward you with amazing things. Lastly, there’s an Arena Skirmish Event that will roll over to June. While the event is active, players earn Honor faster through Arena Skirmishes.

Is there Anything Else?

Weekly events rotate every week, and the dungeons for another expansion will be available for Timewalking in another three weeks. PVP Brawls rotate roughly every two weeks. Besides, there are several micro-holidays throughout those periods where players won’t run out of things to do. It gives them something else to break the grind of leveling up and gathering WoW Gold.
