“You can Homebrew D&D into Anything!”

Cannibal Halfling Gaming

The strong increase in popularity of Dungeons and Dragons brought about both by the increased accessibility of D&D’s Fifth Edition as well as the growth of the nascent streaming and actual play communities has meant that there are a whole lot of people getting introduced to D&D. Now that this growth has been going on for a few years, there is burgeoning realization that role-playing games as a medium are capable of a lot more than dungeon crawls and Tolkien derivatives. This is great news for everyone, right? We all know there’s a whole world of RPGs out there, from the big glossy traditional games to indie zines and everything in between. Well, something’s getting lost in translation for some, and in the #dnd world on Twitter you’ve likely seen questions like this:

“How can I make John Wick in D&D?”

“What can you do to run Star Trek in…

Top 5 Best Items in WoW Classic

WoW Classic Items

The best items in World of Warcraft Classic usually go for a lot of WoW Classic gold. Despite all that, the unusual and yet positively unique items that you find as you explore the game are part of what makes the experience of playing this MMORPG so special. Since WoW Classic has also brought back past items that didn’t make it to the WoW Vanilla version, it means that this also marks the return of WoW Classic items that aren’t exactly usable in raid or PvP situations. To help you determine which items to seek out, we’ve listed down the top 5 best items in WoW Classic guide! If you want to know more, then read on!

  1. Atiesh, The Greatest Staff of All Time

If you’re a Priest, Druid, Mage, or even a Warlock, chances are you’ve heard of the Atiesh. This staff is considered to be one of the rarest legendary weapons to ever exist in the realms of World of Warcraft. Only a small number of players have successfully completed the 40-player raids in Naxxramas, making the staff difficult to obtain. If you didn’t know, this specific raid requires you to defeat multiple bosses such as Kel’Thuzad and the demon Atiesh in one sitting!

  1. Hook of the Master Angler

This little trinket not only makes for a great piece to show off to your friends, but it’s incredibly easy to obtain. Not all great items have to be hard to get after all. To acquire the Hook of the Master Angler, all you have to do is win the Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza event that’s held once per week for all of the servers in World of Warcraft Classic. When you use this item, you’ll be turned into a fish! That’s right. You can use this to travel the world via the ocean waters! What’s more, you’ll have a faster movement speed compared to just walking. This WoW Classic item is extremely useful since you can use it to run away from your enemies by simply jumping in a lake and wiggling your fins away from trouble.

  1. Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros

Sulfuras is the weapon of choice of Ragnaros, the Firelord. Compared to most of the weapons in WoW Classic, this item has a very low drop rate of 3%. As such, most people just opt to create it themselves along with a blacksmith that has at least a skill of 300. If you are a Paladin, Druid, Warrior, or Shaman, this weapon is the holy grail of all weapons. To create this item, you’ll have to purchase the blueprint or Plans from LokhtosDarkbargainer in exchange for some Sulfuron Ingot which can be found in the Incinerator from a Golemagg.  You’ll also need the Eye of Sulfuras, which is dropped by Ragnaros once you’ve defeated. Combine these two items and you’ve got yourself a legendary mace.

  1. Barov Peasant Caller

The Barov Peasant Caller is a unique item that lets you call three servants from House Barov. If you ever need a hand, this WoW Classic item can help you out. Once the servants are summoned, you can let them fight alongside you for a few minutes. Take note that the servants you’ll be summoning with this trinket are all randomly generated races, so don’t expect to see the same face twice.

  1. Skull of Impending Doom

The Skull of Impending Doom off-hand is an item that has immense usability (especially for Warlocks) in certain PvP situations thanks to its great movement speed bonus. More specifically, it increases your movement speed by 60%, but it also deals 100-500 damage and drains your mana for about 100-500 every 2 seconds that the item is activated. Despite the fact that the item drains your mana and health, many players use this to avoid crowd control moves.

Those are the five WoW Classic items that we think are the best that WoW Classic has to offer! Some of the items listed here won’t break the bank or cost too much WoW Classic gold or (WoW gold). We made sure that everyone is sure to have a great item regardless of your level. So which item is your favorite? Leave a comment down below and tell us all about it!

Path of Exile Patch 3.9 Fixes: 10-4 for The PS4

Path of Exile Patch 3.9 Fixes

Not a lot of people consider the PS4 as the best platform to play Path of Exile on. Nevertheless, there are quite a lot of exiles that chose the bestselling Sony console as their home. To further improve the playing experience of the PS4 base, Grinding Gear Games has released Patch 3.9.2D. That means hunting for PoE Orbs is going to be a lot smoother than before!

What Issues Have Been Fixed?

The problem with PS4 having different hardware, software, and pretty much everything is that it’s going to have issues that are exclusive to the platform.

Here are some recent problems:

  • Unusable corpses are targetable by corpse skills
  • Blight encounters cannot be completed
  • Client crashing after using a sextant when there are no socketed watch stones

The patch also improves upon a number of things. First of that is Unique Maps are searchable on the Atlas again, making your life as a post-game exile much easier. Also, divination cards that give Shaper-related items have their Shaper background again, and maps influenced by the Shaper and the Elder now have fancy backgrounds.

Certain skills are also getting fixed. For example, the bug where Ignite applied by Explosive Arrow dealing no damage has been fixed, and so is the one where Volatile Dead orbs don’t detonate once the maximum number is reached.

The patch also added a few new features for Conquerors of the Atlas and Metamorph. They’ve now added frames to the map stash, which indicates if it’s under a Conqueror’s influence, as well as more modifiers Awakened Sextants can apply.

The games also added a lot of visual indicators for a wide variety of reasons.

They are for as follows:

  • Visual indicator at the Atlas’s centre, showing which Conquerors have already been defeated
  • Forwatchstones(especially those socketed in Citadels) so you know whether a sextant is applied or not
  • For maps in map stash which will tell you if the Awakening Objective has been completed
  • More modifiers that Awakened Sextants can apply

Aside from that, the patch also improved a few features related to these two sets of content. First and foremost would be the maps, which now display Atlas Region by default. By pressing L3, you’ll be able to see the map’s completion, bonus objective completion, and awakening objective completion status.

As for gear, the two rings, Mark of the Shaper and Mark of the Elder will now give you a bonus if the other ring you equip is Shaper or Elder-influenced.

What About the Bugs?

Other than the improvement of features, the patch also fixed quite a handful of bugs related to the content, which are the following:

  • Conqueror’s Exalted Orbs ignoring modifiers that prohibit it from rolling Caster Modifiers and Attack Modifiers
  • Conqueror encounters spawning in unreachable areas as well as performance issues they and their monsters cause
  • A visual bug of the organ collection graphic when killing Metamorphtargets being seen only by the creator of an area.
  • Individual map in the influenced region that previously had the current Conqueror’s influence effect having a lower chance to gain the same effect
  • Conqueror’s Exalted Orbs ignoring “Cannot roll Caster Modifiers” and “Cannot roll Attack Modifiers” modifiers
  • Certain sextants in a watchstone socketed in a citadel giving the same or similar modifier in another watchstone of the same citadel

There are many other bugs related to Conqueror’s and Metamorph that have been addressed, so the PS4 experience for those taking on the endgame is going to be smoother from now on.

GGG has always been known for running Path of Exile smoothly, and they’re not about to stop now. So PS4 players, it’s time to go back and go PoE Currency farming in an Atlas because it’s better than ever!

The Differences between WoW Classic and Original

wow classic vs wow original

WoW Classic has been out for some time now, but how well does it stack up when put next to the Vanilla version? The original vanilla WoW came out such a long time ago. At this point, it’s been almost 16 years since its release. Since not a lot of people talk about the differences between World of Warcraft Classic and WoW Original, we’re here to do just that. We’ve already had an ample amount of time exploring WoW Classic, so we can really see stark contrasts between the two versions of the game such as how easy it is to farm WoW Classic gold, hence we’ll be talking about the major differences between the two giants—or at least the ones that stick out the most!

The Economy

If you’ve ever played on a private server in the Original World of Warcraft, chances are you’ve already noticed something about the economy. The economy moves at a relatively slow pace and doesn’t just fluctuate around like an ocean during high tide. While in Classic WoW, the economy moved rather rapidly—to the point that the inflation rate of gold is much higher compared to that of WoW Vanilla. Although essential items like general materials and items used for leveling professions are still cheap, players in WoW Classic can easily accumulate tons of gold. This is thanks to the introduction of many efficient ways of farming gold.

Raid Prep

Raids have become more accessible for players in Classic WoW compared to Original. In Original, it was rare to see players have full buffs and every type of potion in their arsenal. But now, people just easily charge through this aspect of the game while having every consumable potion that you can imagine. It’s not because the game is easier, but it’s more thanks to the fact that players, especially the ones that have played Original World of Warcraft before, know what’s coming. Since everything has been data mined, players know what they’re getting into—making them more efficient and effective. There aren’t any surprises anymore, since every patch that’s going to be released for WoW Classic is almost the same as the ones back then for Original WoW.

The Trending Profession

Back in the original WoW version, professions weren’t really all that important. In fact, some of the top-ranked players never really had a goal and skipped them entirely; either that or they opted for something else. Today in Classic WoW, whether it’s for PvE or PvP players—hardcore or not—there is one prominent profession: Engineering. This profession has become a hit thanks to being a great help in dungeons and raids. It’s also the only profession that lets you have a companion pet. Despite these great things, what made Engineering so fun is the simple fact that it’s a fun skill to get in on. The gadgets that you get to tinker with are all unique and combo-ing with this skill is super satisfying.

Playability

The progress in Original WoW is absurdly slow. Granted the game is almost 16 years old, but it always felt like the endgame was miles away. While this hasn’t changed that much in WoW Classic, there have been some new additions that were made to liven up the snail’s pace. One of the highlights includes the revamped AddOns system. In a nutshell, AddOns are used for players to customize the user interface to their liking. They’re so popular to the point that there are lists of the best AddOns that you can use depending on what you’re going for. For instance, if you want an interface that prioritizes how much WoW Classic gold you’ve accumulated, you can easily download one.  AddOns systems are a huge help if you don’t want any clutter in your interface.

And that’s about it for the differences of the OG WoW and WoW Classic! Since the release of Classic, World of Warcraft has been such a hit, to the point that guides like on how to farm WoW Classic Items and gold pop up almost every day.. Are there any differences that you can find between the two versions of World of Warcraft that we didn’t discuss? Let us know by leaving a comment or two down below!

Significant Changes Made in Fortnite Chapter 2

Significant Changes Made in Fortnite Chapter 2

It’s been years since the release of Fortnite. You’d expect that the battle royale genre would’ve been finished by now, but Fortnite still stands strong today with millions of players in its fan base. Unlike other similar battle royale games launch like Realm Royal and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds that seem to have fallen off the people’s radar, Epic Games is still churning out seasonal content such as new Fortnite items, skins, emotes, and other such creative ways to make the battle pass better. So, what has changed in Fortnite chapter since then? Find out as we talk all about that and more. If you want to know more about Fortnite accounts, feel free to have a look at our Fortnite Account Calculator as well!

What’s Chapter 2 in Fortnite?

Fortnite Chapter 2 is basically the accumulation of what Epic has learned in the last ten seasons. Epic promises that Fortnite Chapter 2 will be more accessible, have an easier learning curve without sacrificing any depth, and finally, more fun for everyone. Since the start of Chapter 2, they’ve added several tweaks such as limiting the use of vehicles by only making boats available as well as balanced changes the game in the DPS of certain weapons. There’s not a lot of meat on the bone for now, but we can expect biggest changes as the game progresses this year. For now, here’s a look at the significant changes to Fortnite that have been made in Fortnite Chapter 2:

There’s No Need to Return to the Lobby after Every Match

Before, you’d have to return to the lobby first after the game and queue up again on the main menu. This can be annoying, especially when the game ends for you immediately (this happens most of the time if you land into a location that’s full of players). But now, you can get back into the groove right away and queue up immediately once you’ve died in the game! This is not only a great time-saver, but your flow will no longer be disrupted.

Swimming Might Save Your Life

If you’re still outside of the circle and the clock is ticking, then swimming might just save your life. While swimming back then wasn’t such a big deal since you tend to go slower compared to running, it’s now a different case. When swimming, you can use the jump button. This will make your character dive underwater and leap back out. Once you get into the rhythm of it, it’ll now give you a nice speed boost. Besides that, diving can make you harder to hit if there are any opponents trying to snipe you. So the next time you’re in a tight bind, look for a lake or a river course to swim your way out of trouble!

Get a Free Shield in the Slurpy Swamp

If you can’t find a shield jug anywhere during the first few minutes of the game, then why not stop by Slurpy Swamp if you’re nearby? Blue goo can be found all over this location, and it’s unlimited! Just find a glowing riverbed around the area and submerge yourself in it. This will slowly heal you back to full health and even your shield meter! There are also vats filled with this magical goo that you can destroy with your pickaxe, so call in your friends beforehand to let everyone have a health and shield!

Conclusion

Since Chapter 2 is just starting, we can expect more major changes and even possibly new named locations to be added to the map changed. Chapter 2 Season 1 of Fortnites battle is almost at its end and it’s looking like Epic is ready to shake things up once more. What are you expecting for Season 2? Are there any Fortnite items or skins that you’d like to credit Epic Games to dig up from the vault? Let us know by commenting down below! Helpful Tips: How to Get Better at Fortnite

Helpful Tips: How to Get Better at Fortnite

Fortnite has great players in abundance. Chances are, you’ve already squared up against them in a game or two. If you still haven’t seen significant improvements despite pouring in dozens of hours playing the game or watching popular streamers/pro players, you’re probably frustrated. We understand this completely. Fortnite isn’t just some battle royale game where you can only shoot down your opponents; you also have to take your building skills into account. So without further ado, we’ll be showing you some useful tips to make you better at playing Fortnite and using certain Fortnite items. If you want to buy or sell a Fortnite account instead, you can have a look at our Fortnite Account Calculator.

Don’t Land in Usually Populated Areas

Most players rush to known areas such as Tilted Towers since it’s filled with items and weapons. While you can land there during the start of the game, chances are you’ll be dead after a few minutes since are so many opponents to fend off. As you get off the battle bus, you should take the opportunity to scan your surroundings to see how many players are within your vicinity. If there are too many people, you can simply change the direction and avoid them altogether. This increases your chances to survive until late in the game, and it also gives you ample time to scavenge good weapons.

Farm Mats Early Game

The worst thing that can happen while you’re in the thick of a fight is running out of materials. Building is what makes Fortnite so special, and to not be able to fully utilize it is a shame. To avoid this, farm the materials that you need as early as you can. We recommend whipping out your pickaxe as soon as you land in the area of your choice and start mowing things down. Whether it’s inside a house/building or the trees/rocks outside, get as many materials as you can. Don’t overdo it though, you don’t want it to take too much of your time. You’ll be able to collect the materials of enemies as well once you kill them, so your mats will increase over time until they max out.

Lower Your DPI

This is the tip that people often overlook. Lowering your sensitivity (whether you’re playing using a keyboard and mouse combo or a controller) will help you steady your aim for better accuracy during sniping sessions. Sometimes, this simple yet effective tweak is the answer to most players’ problems. It may take some getting used to if you normally play on a high DPI level, but trust us on this, it’ll level up your skills significantly once you grow accustomed to it.

Listen Carefully

Listening carefully can save your life multiple times. We recommend using headphones while playing, but the audio in Fortnite is already great even without using one, so it’s fine if you don’t have a headset lying around. Sounds such as footsteps, gunshots, and more should be treated as valuable info in a game such as Fortnite. This will minimize instances where opponents can get the jump on you and catch you off-guard.

Conclusion

While all of these tips can certainly help you, what will really make them effective is to have the willingness to learn. There are powerful Fortnite items that can be found all over the map, but they won’t be effective if you can’t use them well. We hope our tips and tricks will help you get better and will ultimately help you turn pro! Are there any tips that you’d like to pass on to budding Fortnite players? Let us know by leaving a comment down below. Check out our Fortnite Account Calculator as well if you’re planning to buy/sell a Fortnite account!

A Brief Introduction to Path of Exile’s Item Mechanics

PoE Items

Path of Exile’s item mechanics almost looks like they require a doctorate to understand. From categorizing to item crafting, you have many factors to study to master it. Knowing how the mechanics work, however, is essential for your PoE currency hoarding or leveling up progress.

As you fight, items gather. Defeated enemies drop rates all kinds of PoE items. The more you kill, the more items you get. With a limited inventory space, you can’t collect all of them to sort later. How are you able to figure out which ones to leave and which to take?

Don’t fret! This guide will help you figure that out, among other things.

The Basics

Items have characteristics. Specifically, they have Rarity, Item Levels, and Affixes. PoE orbs don’t have the latter, but some can manipulate the characteristics of other magic items.

Rarity indicates the potential of a base item. There are four rarities, Normal, Magic, Rare, and Unique. Normal rarity items can be considered the ‘base’ and rawest form of that item type. It lacks any modifications higher rarities may have. As this characteristic increases, the amount of modifications the currency item can have also increased.

Unique items are a bit of an anomaly. As its name implies, each unique item has different sets of modifications from each other.

Item Levels determine how strong the modifiers on an item can be. Higher levels mean better modifications. These modifications are the Affixes, which manipulate the effects of the item. There are eight tiers for these modifications. The highest and most effective affixes are tier 1 ones.

With chaos orbs and lucky rolls, even normal rarity items can become valuable. How will you be able to judge though?

Judging Items

Generally, you’d want either Life modifying prefixes or Energy Shield modifying affixes on your equipment. The former modifies Maximum Life or Innate Defense (Armor or Evasion). The latter is more focused on Innate Defense and/or Stun and Block Recovery. You might find hybrid items, though they aren’t as valuable as pure ones.

Suffixes are a more complicated affair. What determines synthesized items possible suffixes is its type. Helmets may gain a bonus to Intelligence, while boots have increased Movement Speed. Something you can look at and instantly know to be valuable is a high-tier Elemental Resistance boost when you get elemental damage and elemental hit. If an item quantity has a 110% resistance to any element, you know it’s valuable. Chaos resistance less so, but some players would absolutely need it.

So, in summary, you need to figure out if it’s a Hybrid or not, then figure out if the modifier tiers are high enough. You can adjust these goals according to what you need. The last advice to give would be to research more and practice. Research the best modifier values for each item type. Then you should go and play to practice identifying the loot you get.

The more you play, the better you will get active skills at judging what’s valuable skill gem and what isn’t. This isn’t a race, so you don’t need to rush. Take your time to understand everything you need to. Most importantly, don’t forget to have fun as you go along.

Keep on enjoying Path of Exile!

World of Warcraft: Shadowlands Revealed at Blizzcon

World of Warcraft Shadowlands

The recent Blizzcon 2019 event saw the announcement of a brand new expansion for World of Warcraft, titled Shadowlands. The new expansion is set for release next year, and sees newly converted-antagonist Sylvanas Windrunner showcasing his power across the whole of Azeroth. The next entry will have players setting aside their WoW Classic Gold from a brand new extension, as a follow-up to the Battle of Azeroth edges ever closer.

A new campaign in the afterlife

Blizzard took to the main stage of BlizzCon to show off a brand new cinematic trailer for the upcoming title, in wish we see Lich King Bolvar Fordragon, who you may remember from previous WoW expansion Wrath of the Lich King. The King is thwarted by Sylvanas in Icecrown, and what happens next seems to set the foundations of what fans can expect from Shadowlands. The aspect of the afterlife will play a key role in the expansion, which is caused by the destruction of the Lich King’s crown.

As for the Shadowlands itself, it is revealed to be an infinite realm where players will have to align themselves with Shephards of the Dead, which will serve as the covenants in the game. The full covenant campaign will take you across new zones known as Bastion, Maldraxxus, Ardenweald, Revendreth, and the Maw, and players will be offered new abilities that can be earned via leveling. These will be determined by the class that you choose, which offers bonuses depending on which ones that you choose.

Tower of the Damned

One of the most enticing aspects of the Shadowlands is the Tower of the Damned. Within the ghastly Maw, players will come across Torghast, Tower of the Damned, which provides one of the most re-playable segments of the entire expansion. The cursed prison is inhabited with unspeakable evil, in which rooms will chop and change to make a fresh experience. Awaiting the victor is the spoils of treasure after setting the spirits within free.

New Leveling System

What fans will be interested to know is that Shadowlands will bring in a brand new leveling system. If you are already at the max-level available, then you will begin the expansion at level 50, with a new level cap of 60. You will be able to use this new system to your advantage, as you take on the Army of the Dead into a brand new experience. The idea of the level cap being altered in such has way has been rumored for some time now and is something that fans had expected to happen at some point within the last few expansions. This system will be familiar to players who have been running through World of Warcraft Classic, so if you have managed to reach level 120, you will be scaled down to level 50 when Shadowlands releases next year.

As far as your character goes, there is a variety of new customization options at your disposal, regardless of what race you choose. So if you are looking to mix up your appearance, then this feature is definitely worth looking forward to. If you are looking at how alts will work, which are characters made by existing players who already have a character already, then these will have the option to level up as they would previously from the beginning or start completely anew. Past expansions will also be available to players, so you have the choice of doing so in Classic WoW, The Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King, Cataclysm, Mists of Pandaria, Warlords of Draenor or Legion. Whichever you choose, the content will scale to a point where the leveling process works to cater to which expansion you select.

So, those who are enjoying spending their hard-earned WoW Classic Gold in the Vanilla WoW title of the game, prepare to take on a brand new expansion next year when the follow up to the critically acclaimed Battle of Azeroth lands. World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is set for release in 2020!

Run Elder City Square for Path of Exile Orbs

Path of Exile Elder City Square

When you’re looking for Path of Exile maps to run for PoE currency farming, look no further than the Elder City Square. We’ll be listing why it’s a good map to run as well as some key notes for you to look at.

Why Elder City Square?

First off, you can loop its layout. Sure, it has alleys that branch off the main square, but at its most basic, it’s a loop. You can go around killing the mobs, only going to the center when facing off the bosses. This makes clearing the map easier. In turn, that lets you run it more times in a single sitting. That results in more PoE Chaos Orbs, Exalted Orbs, Jewellers Orb, Orb of Alchemy, Orbs of Alterations, Blessed Orbs, and Orb of Fusing for you in the long run.

Second, it has a good mob density. Loot piles up quickly, so you have to decide which to keep and which to throw. Keeping everything will make you less efficient if you have to go back and forth to your hideout just to unload your inventory. Using stricter filters to get the most valuable PoE Item and stuff can go a long way to keeping your efficiency up.

Lastly, the loot you can get from this map is quite valuable. With several runs, you’ll get back your investment and more. Sell all these magic items in bulk, which is more satisfying than selling small things after runs.

Additional Notes

Corrupt your maps with Vaal orbs. In addition to making your runs a little more challenging, it increases your potential for profit with a bigger or more valuable unique item loot pool.

Save up your awakened sextant by running maps with bad mods. Just try again in the next run. Since you’re not constantly rerolling, you get profit and spend less on your resources (simple sextant and Orbs of Scouring, for example).

Do your missions for bonus loot or resources. Otherwise, just keep them in mind. The chaos of battle sometimes makes it hard to keep track of what you want to do. Missions from Jun, Alva, Einhar, and Niko should be your priorities. Jun, Alva, and Einhar missions reward more loot. Niko awards more sulfate to use in Delves.

You, as an individual, have your own preference in running maps. The saying goes ‘there’s more than one way to skin a cat’ and that certainly applies here. You don’t have to follow Path of Exile guides or do what others are doing. They might be more efficient than you, but you have your own interpretation of ‘efficiency’. As long as you enjoy the game, you can play and run the map in any way you want.

Conclusion

Elder City Square is not the best farming map, per se. It is, however, still a good map to grind in, especially for Harbinger’s Shards. Rack up those Harbingers Orb, Ancient Orb, PoE orbs and PoE currency guides by running this map. You can just go round and round killing mobs, until the time comes to fight the bosses. Even then, they’re not much of a challenge. Runs finish quicker, you do more runs, you get more profit.

Enjoy Path of Exile!

Elder City Square FAQ

  1. What are the best maps for Elder Orb 3.8?

Alleyways Map and Armoury Map are the best options overall due to layout, monster count, and density. Choose Alleyways Map if you plan on using your Elder orb on Armoury Map, otherwise, we prefer Armoury. An alternative option is Mesa Map, which has a great layout but poor density and monster count.

  2. How does Elder influence work?     Elder Influence will always take over a node (map) if a node has Shaper Influence, it is adjacent to Elder Influence, and you run that map. Running a map here means clearing around 60% of monsters on it OR killing the boss. … Running an Elder Influenced map results in it losing Elder Influence.
  3. How is elder influence spreading?

  4. What are shaper influenced maps?                                                                                              Shaper influenced areas can contain additional enemies or hazards or enhances the map boss by the Shaper, making them more difficult. These areas have a chance to drop a rare Shaper item with at least one Shaper affix. Once a Shaper-influenced map is cleared, it will disappear

5 Tips You Should Be Aware of In OSRS

OSRS tips

Regardless of whether you are a newcomer to Old School RuneScape or a seasoned veteran, there is never a bad time to learn some new tricks to take with you along the way. Whether your objective is to collect as much OSRS Gold as possible or simply to traverse the many dungeons in the game, there are still some things that you should take on board.

Here are a few handy tips for you to use during your time in Gielinor.

Farm Running

Herb and Farm run can be an effective method for you to use during the game. Herb runs can be done around every hour or so and farming is something that will also be time-consuming; it takes a lot of dedication. The great thing about herb running is that it does not take that much time and can prove to be very profitable if you are willing to put the effort into it.

Once you are familiar with the process, these runs will become a very useful way for you to make a profit. If you do choose to put the time in, then you can make up to 10 times the amount you pay for seeds just by using this simple method. So with that in mind, be sure to read up on all things herb and farming before putting in the required time.

Achievement Diaries

Something that you could already be familiar with in OSRS is Achievement Diaries. Your Achievement Diary offers a set of one-time tasks that can bring a number of unique rewards. It is worth mentioning that this particular feature is only available to members, so free-to-play players will be out of luck here.

But if you are looking to get the most out of your game, then these diaries are certainly worth it. Not only will they increase your skills and rewards set, but they will also test your knowledge of the game and take you to different areas, offering a rather unique experience compared to other areas of OSRS. What’s more, there is a variety of difficulty levels ranging from Easy, to Medium, Hard, and Elite. Predictably, easier diaries have far lesser requirements for you to take on, while harder tasks will test your skills and prowess, but the rewards that you will reap will most definitely be worth the investment.

Cash Investment

Now, upon hearing that sub-title you may be thinking that this has real-world applications. Whether the premise does or doesn’t depend entirely on you as a person, but when it comes to OSRS, then investing your in-game cash is a complete no-brainer in certain under the right circumstance.

This is because if you are literally in possession of stacks of cash, and not doing anything with it, it is ultimately serving no real purpose. There is a multitude of ways for you to earn money in OSRS, and therefore there are many different ways for you to spend it too. Rather than just having it sit around doing nothing for you, it may be worth investing in ways that would cater to you. Not only can it be used to buy a staggeringly high amount of items in the game, but it can also help you invest in your character’s different skill areas. Spending your hard-earned cash on supplies to take on bosses and dungeons, or those that will enhance your skills is most certainly more of effective use of your money than having it just idle away.

Use Your Downtime Efficiently

There are a variety of tasks throughout OSRS that will require you to do some grinding. This includes what many refer to as AFK (away from keyboard) for a bit of downtime from the game while your task completes. Tasks that range from cooking to washing dishes can become rather time-consuming and not much fun to sit through or look at.

However, while these tasks are taking place, it doesn’t mean you can’t use your time effectively to complete other key tasks that you may have to do in the meantime. Ultimately, it’s best to continue to focus on the task at hand so you will reap the rewards of more XP gain, since you are unlikely to do so if you do AFK. If there are any other duties that you can take on as opposed to simply setting the game down, then you’ll save yourself more time in the long run.

The Tears of Guthix Minigame

Earlier, we discussed how achievement diaries propose a duty that is separate from many other features of the game, sort of like a typical form of side quest. In a similar vein, there are mini-games within OSRS that you should set aside a few minutes for. One of these mini-games is known as Tears of Guthix, and it should only take you a few minutes to overcome.

This game gives you the opportunity once-a-week to not only gain XP, but also work on any skills that you may not have been focusing on. This could be because you simply have not prioritized that skill set or you haven’t had the means to enhance it. Either way, Tears of Guthix can prove quite useful. You can find this mini-game in the Chasm of Tears, and you will have to have completed the Tears of Guthix quest to access it. You will also have to have earned at least 100,000 XP or a single quest point since last attempting it. This, of course, doesn’t apply if it is your first time to try it.

Once you have taken these five tips on board, you will certainly have a better understanding of how the game works and how you can make the most of it. Tasks such as grinding for gold(which can be listed on OSRS gold sell sites) or doing the game’s equivalent of side quests can be time-consuming, but these methods are some of the most effective ones that you will find, so be sure to keep them in mind as you venture out into the wide world of Gielinor.
