How to Get PoE Uniques

And build your collection

PoE uniques are pieces of equipment that have unusual effects or different modifiers. Some character builds are based on these effects. They’re not supposed to be stronger than high leveled rare equipment, but they’re a popular PoE trade item. One factor that makes it so is their rarity since outside of some exceptions, they’re rather hard to farm.

Here we’ll be listing a few ways you can increase the chances of getting one. Then you can even sell them to get PoE currency from trading!

Play the Game

Generally, simply playing the game will give you PoE unique items. All kinds of enemies or destructible objects have a chance to drop a unique. It’s a small chance, but it’s there. It’s also random, so you don’t know which one you’re going to get.

The level of the item you can get depends on the level and rarity of the monsters you’re fighting. Say the item is level 40. Normal monsters in level 40+ maps will drop that, magic/rare/unique monsters in level 39 maps will drop it, and level 38 rare/unique monsters will drop it.

PoE Orbs of Chance

This PoE orb has a chance of transforming a PoE item into a Path of Exile unique form. For example, using it on a sword might give you a PoE unique sword. It will not turn into armor or another type of weapon. Since certain unique items are league-specific, you will need the relevant map mods to get those. The chances of this succeeding are quite low, so you might need a few tries to be successful.

Vaal Orbs

Some unique items ‘corrupted’ and Vaal Orbs give you a chance to get them. This is mostly for unique jewels and some equipment.

Prophecies

Some prophecies award you with unique items after fulfilling them. A majority of the ones that ask you to hunt down a certain enemy and defeat it will do so. There’s also “The Mysterious Gift” prophecy, which gives you a random unique when you trade in five others to a vendor.

Vendor Recipes

You can trade in some items to get a unique from a vendor. These PoE uniques are unavailable through other methods. They’re not included in the world drop pool and Orb of Chance or Vaal Orbs won’t result in these uniques. The level of the item received from this method depends on the lowest level of the items traded-in.

Divination Cards

Some of these items (such as the Tabula Rasa) are rewards from Divination Cards. Like the Vendor Recipe ones, these uniques can’t be found in other methods.

Event Competition Rewards

Some event competitions may award unique items to the winners. Note that not all events will have this kind of reward.

PoE Trade

Of course, you can just trade with other people for these items. However, prices may be a little high because of the difficulty of getting some specific ones.

And that’s all the sources of PoE uniques in the game. Have fun building up your collection of these items!

We’re All Crazy for Path of Exile Delirium Newest Expansion!

Fall into your exile’s delirium and nightmare in Path of Exile‘s newest league. Like with the other expansions, Delirium brings new mechanics, new PoE skills, items, and PoE orbs to the fold. More than that, there will be updates to the base game as well.

Here’s a look at all the interesting bits about the expansion.

Dive into Your Nightmare

Delirium’s core mechanic is the appearance of Mirrors of Delirium. Past it, you’ll encounter the world of Delirium. A thick fog covers this world, changing the appearance and behavior of existing enemies (including bosses) and adding new ones. The farther away you get from the mirror, the harder it will be to survive. However, that’s also where the greatest rewards can be found!

It lets you control how far you want the challenge to go. There is always the option to retreat and let the fog dissipate. The Mirrors are usually near the beginning of maps, allowing you to progress throughout the entirety of it through the fog. That means that bosses will have a double dose of difficulty thrown at you. Specifically, they’re deep within the fog, and they’re unpredictable due to its influence. Story bosses aren’t exempt from this rule.

With these new mechanics, the expansion also introduces Orbs of Delirium. Use these orbs on maps to increase their difficulty. Different kinds also increase the likelihood of you obtaining certain rewards. Mix and match to balance the challenge and what you can get from it. How deep will you go in your Delirium?

Everything New in This Expansion

Other than this exciting new mechanic, there are several new additions to the game.

PoE Skills

Two new skills are introduced, but there will be four new ones at launch. Also, there will be three new support gems as well. The two introduced skills are Blade Burst and Kinetic Bolt.

Blade Burst lets you detonate blades from your skills. It pairs well with skills such as Bladefall, Blade Vortex, and Ethereal Knives. Add in a ‘Cast on…’ support gem and watch your enemies fall. Also, the expansion finally lets you cast ‘Animate Weapon’ on the same kind of blades.

Kinetic Bolt is a mesmerizing wand attack that fires a bolt that zigzags as it flies. If you pair it with Barrage Support, you can watch the bolts weave through waves of enemies in artistic patterns.

Look forward to the rest, as these are promising new additions!

Unique Items

There are two PoE uniques to come, Algor Mortis and Perfidy.

The former is a pair of Carnal Mitts. Its effects focus on inflicting the Sap ailment on enemies affected by your chilling areas.  What’s more, it increases your Lightning Damage for those same enemies. It also adds 70 points to your Energy Shield, and increases the effects of non-damaging ailments.

The latter is a Glorious Plate that allows you to carry two different banners at the same time. Then it allows you to increase both of their stages by hitting enemies with melee. It has further enhancements for War and Dread Banners. Lastly, it also modifies Melee Damage and Maximum Life.

Cluster Jewels and Extending the Passive Skill Tree

This is perhaps the most interesting addition of the expansion. Enemies found in the fog of Delirium may drop these rare jewels that can expand your passive skill tree. That means more opportunities to customize your builds, and you can even chain them up to three times. Some of them will even give you a passive skill, from a pool of 280 new ones.

What’s even more interesting is that they are craftable! You can reroll the stats and modifiers of these jewels to suit your needs. Theory crafters and build enthusiasts will go crazy at all the new opportunities these jewels can provide.

A Mysterious Figure

While exploring the fog and destroying enemies, you might find some Simulacrum Splinters. Collecting 100 of these will let you open a portal to a Simulacrum. These are the endgame bosses of the league, so be prepared before you try challenging them.

They also seem to hold the mysteries of the fog. Will you brave your nightmares for victory, or fall prey to your fear before ever reaching the end?

Delirious with Excitement

The Delirium League is coming to the game on March 13th. Soon, you’ll be lost in the fog, gathering all these cool Path of Exile uniques, PoE items, and skills. As you wait until it gets released, you can continue to farm for PoE currency such as Chaos Orbs. Other than that, continue enjoying Path of Exile.

Have fun, before your nightmare awakens and delirium fills Wraeclast!

POE Delirium: Builds and Farming Methods

While Path of Exile: Delirium didn’t exactly make Wraeclast bigger, it definitely put new things in it—effectively changing the game forever. With the challenges it brought forth came fresh builds and ways of getting rich. Read up on what these are so that you can make the most of the league!

Crazy As It Sounds

In the POE Delirium league, exiles will find that there is a mirror of Delirium in every map. If they choose to enter it, the monsters in the area become stronger. It also causes the monsters to drop Simulacrum splinters.

Gather 300 Simulacrum splinters to form a Simulacrum, a map fragment that will open a portal that could lead to any of these six locations: Lunacy’s Watch, The Bridge Enraptured, The Syndrome Encampment, Hysteriagate, or Oriath Delusion. There, you’ll have the opportunity to get great rewards. Currently, the most sought-after are Cluster Jewels, which gives players further passive skill tree customization.

Built For the New Challenge

Aside from the enemies in PoE Delirium league being stronger than the usual ones, there are also loads of them. Unlike Metamorph league that had much focus on single-target boss killing, there’s now a return to dealing with hordes upon hordes of enemies that will Zerg rush you. This means PoE builds whose Rare and PoE Uniques are geared for multiple targets or AoE skills are making a comeback. Then again, it’s not like they ever disappeared in the first place anyway.

There are many POE build types that are specifically geared for the league that players can choose from. Most of them are Duelist ascendancy classes and Hierophants, but there are also from other classes.

More specific suggestions are as follows:

  • Cyclone Impale Champion – a spin-to-win melee build that deals good AoE damage on top of its survivability. A must-try for players with this particular class.
  • Lacerate Gladiator – another melee build, it’s as versatile as it is tough, as it’s been viable since Patch 3.8. Although it takes much time and requires Bladestorm to level up, it’s pretty much worth it once you switch to the Axe/Shield setup and get Lacerate.
  • Storm Brand Hierophant – an unorthodox AoE spellcaster build, it allows players to have some freedom to move and cast other spells while brands do the damage-dealing on their behalf.
  • Miner Builds – mechanics for mine skills fine-tuned for the better in Patch 3.9, thus renewing its popularity and viability. And in Path of Exile Delirium, it continues to enjoy the same love and efficiency. Common choices include the Ball Lightning Miner and the Toxic Rain Miner, which are either Saboteur or Trickster.
  • SRS Necromancer – last but definitely not least is the SRS Necromancer. While Necromancer builds are ever-popular and universal, this specific build has slightly more focus on offense than the usual balance between offense, defense, and utility.

Literally Insane Farming

Last, but definitely not least, once you have a solid build, Delirium is a great way to farm for POE Currency. They have lowered the chances of you getting killed in one shot by a monster, shortened its life, and increased the drop rate of monsters, especially when it comes to PoE orbs for your POE trade.

For farming sites, old ones like Blood Aqueduct and Harbor Bridge still work like a charm. There are also maps, which is a better way to farm PoE currency. However, they require more creativity and better gear. Maps like Beach and Glacier are the more recommended ones among the many that you can farm in.

There you have it–the Path of Exile mechanics, builds, and farming methods for Delirium. So, what are you waiting for? There’s no better time to start taking on this challenge league than right now!

Path of Exile Patch 3.9 Fixes: 10-4 for The PS4

Path of Exile Patch 3.9 Fixes

Not a lot of people consider the PS4 as the best platform to play Path of Exile on. Nevertheless, there are quite a lot of exiles that chose the bestselling Sony console as their home. To further improve the playing experience of the PS4 base, Grinding Gear Games has released Patch 3.9.2D. That means hunting for PoE Orbs is going to be a lot smoother than before!

What Issues Have Been Fixed?

The problem with PS4 having different hardware, software, and pretty much everything is that it’s going to have issues that are exclusive to the platform.

Here are some recent problems:

  • Unusable corpses are targetable by corpse skills
  • Blight encounters cannot be completed
  • Client crashing after using a sextant when there are no socketed watch stones

The patch also improves upon a number of things. First of that is Unique Maps are searchable on the Atlas again, making your life as a post-game exile much easier. Also, divination cards that give Shaper-related items have their Shaper background again, and maps influenced by the Shaper and the Elder now have fancy backgrounds.

Certain skills are also getting fixed. For example, the bug where Ignite applied by Explosive Arrow dealing no damage has been fixed, and so is the one where Volatile Dead orbs don’t detonate once the maximum number is reached.

The patch also added a few new features for Conquerors of the Atlas and Metamorph. They’ve now added frames to the map stash, which indicates if it’s under a Conqueror’s influence, as well as more modifiers Awakened Sextants can apply.

The games also added a lot of visual indicators for a wide variety of reasons.

They are for as follows:

  • Visual indicator at the Atlas’s centre, showing which Conquerors have already been defeated
  • Forwatchstones(especially those socketed in Citadels) so you know whether a sextant is applied or not
  • For maps in map stash which will tell you if the Awakening Objective has been completed
  • More modifiers that Awakened Sextants can apply

Aside from that, the patch also improved a few features related to these two sets of content. First and foremost would be the maps, which now display Atlas Region by default. By pressing L3, you’ll be able to see the map’s completion, bonus objective completion, and awakening objective completion status.

As for gear, the two rings, Mark of the Shaper and Mark of the Elder will now give you a bonus if the other ring you equip is Shaper or Elder-influenced.

What About the Bugs?

Other than the improvement of features, the patch also fixed quite a handful of bugs related to the content, which are the following:

  • Conqueror’s Exalted Orbs ignoring modifiers that prohibit it from rolling Caster Modifiers and Attack Modifiers
  • Conqueror encounters spawning in unreachable areas as well as performance issues they and their monsters cause
  • A visual bug of the organ collection graphic when killing Metamorphtargets being seen only by the creator of an area.
  • Individual map in the influenced region that previously had the current Conqueror’s influence effect having a lower chance to gain the same effect
  • Conqueror’s Exalted Orbs ignoring “Cannot roll Caster Modifiers” and “Cannot roll Attack Modifiers” modifiers
  • Certain sextants in a watchstone socketed in a citadel giving the same or similar modifier in another watchstone of the same citadel

There are many other bugs related to Conqueror’s and Metamorph that have been addressed, so the PS4 experience for those taking on the endgame is going to be smoother from now on.

GGG has always been known for running Path of Exile smoothly, and they’re not about to stop now. So PS4 players, it’s time to go back and go PoE Currency farming in an Atlas because it’s better than ever!

A Brief Introduction to Path of Exile’s Item Mechanics

PoE Items

Path of Exile’s item mechanics almost looks like they require a doctorate to understand. From categorizing to item crafting, you have many factors to study to master it. Knowing how the mechanics work, however, is essential for your PoE currency hoarding or leveling up progress.

As you fight, items gather. Defeated enemies drop rates all kinds of PoE items. The more you kill, the more items you get. With a limited inventory space, you can’t collect all of them to sort later. How are you able to figure out which ones to leave and which to take?

Don’t fret! This guide will help you figure that out, among other things.

The Basics

Items have characteristics. Specifically, they have Rarity, Item Levels, and Affixes. PoE orbs don’t have the latter, but some can manipulate the characteristics of other magic items.

Rarity indicates the potential of a base item. There are four rarities, Normal, Magic, Rare, and Unique. Normal rarity items can be considered the ‘base’ and rawest form of that item type. It lacks any modifications higher rarities may have. As this characteristic increases, the amount of modifications the currency item can have also increased.

Unique items are a bit of an anomaly. As its name implies, each unique item has different sets of modifications from each other.

Item Levels determine how strong the modifiers on an item can be. Higher levels mean better modifications. These modifications are the Affixes, which manipulate the effects of the item. There are eight tiers for these modifications. The highest and most effective affixes are tier 1 ones.

With chaos orbs and lucky rolls, even normal rarity items can become valuable. How will you be able to judge though?

Judging Items

Generally, you’d want either Life modifying prefixes or Energy Shield modifying affixes on your equipment. The former modifies Maximum Life or Innate Defense (Armor or Evasion). The latter is more focused on Innate Defense and/or Stun and Block Recovery. You might find hybrid items, though they aren’t as valuable as pure ones.

Suffixes are a more complicated affair. What determines synthesized items possible suffixes is its type. Helmets may gain a bonus to Intelligence, while boots have increased Movement Speed. Something you can look at and instantly know to be valuable is a high-tier Elemental Resistance boost when you get elemental damage and elemental hit. If an item quantity has a 110% resistance to any element, you know it’s valuable. Chaos resistance less so, but some players would absolutely need it.

So, in summary, you need to figure out if it’s a Hybrid or not, then figure out if the modifier tiers are high enough. You can adjust these goals according to what you need. The last advice to give would be to research more and practice. Research the best modifier values for each item type. Then you should go and play to practice identifying the loot you get.

The more you play, the better you will get active skills at judging what’s valuable skill gem and what isn’t. This isn’t a race, so you don’t need to rush. Take your time to understand everything you need to. Most importantly, don’t forget to have fun as you go along.

Keep on enjoying Path of Exile!

Run Elder City Square for Path of Exile Orbs

Path of Exile Elder City Square

When you’re looking for Path of Exile maps to run for PoE currency farming, look no further than the Elder City Square. We’ll be listing why it’s a good map to run as well as some key notes for you to look at.

Why Elder City Square?

First off, you can loop its layout. Sure, it has alleys that branch off the main square, but at its most basic, it’s a loop. You can go around killing the mobs, only going to the center when facing off the bosses. This makes clearing the map easier. In turn, that lets you run it more times in a single sitting. That results in more PoE Chaos Orbs, Exalted Orbs, Jewellers Orb, Orb of Alchemy, Orbs of Alterations, Blessed Orbs, and Orb of Fusing for you in the long run.

Second, it has a good mob density. Loot piles up quickly, so you have to decide which to keep and which to throw. Keeping everything will make you less efficient if you have to go back and forth to your hideout just to unload your inventory. Using stricter filters to get the most valuable PoE Item and stuff can go a long way to keeping your efficiency up.

Lastly, the loot you can get from this map is quite valuable. With several runs, you’ll get back your investment and more. Sell all these magic items in bulk, which is more satisfying than selling small things after runs.

Additional Notes

Corrupt your maps with Vaal orbs. In addition to making your runs a little more challenging, it increases your potential for profit with a bigger or more valuable unique item loot pool.

Save up your awakened sextant by running maps with bad mods. Just try again in the next run. Since you’re not constantly rerolling, you get profit and spend less on your resources (simple sextant and Orbs of Scouring, for example).

Do your missions for bonus loot or resources. Otherwise, just keep them in mind. The chaos of battle sometimes makes it hard to keep track of what you want to do. Missions from Jun, Alva, Einhar, and Niko should be your priorities. Jun, Alva, and Einhar missions reward more loot. Niko awards more sulfate to use in Delves.

You, as an individual, have your own preference in running maps. The saying goes ‘there’s more than one way to skin a cat’ and that certainly applies here. You don’t have to follow Path of Exile guides or do what others are doing. They might be more efficient than you, but you have your own interpretation of ‘efficiency’. As long as you enjoy the game, you can play and run the map in any way you want.

Conclusion

Elder City Square is not the best farming map, per se. It is, however, still a good map to grind in, especially for Harbinger’s Shards. Rack up those Harbingers Orb, Ancient Orb, PoE orbs and PoE currency guides by running this map. You can just go round and round killing mobs, until the time comes to fight the bosses. Even then, they’re not much of a challenge. Runs finish quicker, you do more runs, you get more profit.

Enjoy Path of Exile!

Elder City Square FAQ

  1. What are the best maps for Elder Orb 3.8?

Alleyways Map and Armoury Map are the best options overall due to layout, monster count, and density. Choose Alleyways Map if you plan on using your Elder orb on Armoury Map, otherwise, we prefer Armoury. An alternative option is Mesa Map, which has a great layout but poor density and monster count.

  2. How does Elder influence work?     Elder Influence will always take over a node (map) if a node has Shaper Influence, it is adjacent to Elder Influence, and you run that map. Running a map here means clearing around 60% of monsters on it OR killing the boss. … Running an Elder Influenced map results in it losing Elder Influence.
  3. How is elder influence spreading?

  4. What are shaper influenced maps?                                                                                              Shaper influenced areas can contain additional enemies or hazards or enhances the map boss by the Shaper, making them more difficult. These areas have a chance to drop a rare Shaper item with at least one Shaper affix. Once a Shaper-influenced map is cleared, it will disappear

Path of Exile: Tips When Creating Your Build

Path of Exile Builds

Creating your very own build is sort of like completing a puzzle piece that never ends. Thanks to the intricacy of Path of Exile’s legendary skill tree, the progress is perpetual—even when you reach the endgame. If you don’t take the time to learn and research about what build you plan on getting, it can dampen your experience as Path of Exile is an unforgiving game compared to other ARPGs. To help you out, we’ve rounded up some rips that will help you get the ideal build you want for your character. No PoE orbs or PoE currency is needed here, just sheer effort and the will to learn!

The Building Blocks

Knowing where to start your build is not only a great step to take, but it ultimately leads to having a domino effect on your progress. Whether you want to build around a unique item that you’ve acquired during raids or a certain skill that you’re thinking of diving deeper into, there are millions of possibilities that you can explore when making a build. This can be daunting, especially if you’re still a newbie, but rest assured all of this will be worth it in the end! Don’t be fixated on certain builds that require too much time and effort, but not enough to be so simple that there’s no thrill in using your character anymore. The key is to keep it simple yet effective while having a bit of thrill.

State Your Purpose

Decide the purpose of your character. Not only does this broaden (or limit) your possibilities, it also lets you know where you stand at the very least. Do you want your character to be a boss farmer, a skill-based character, or maybe a gold farmer? Once you’ve finally figured out what the purpose of your character is, it’s time to think about its survivability. This is where you’ll be picking out certain nodes in the skill tree that will make the character more powerful or have skills that are unique to their race.

Grow the Tree

The skill tree is full of passive skills that can either make or break your character. This large network is chock-filled with stats and attributes that can be used to further strengthen the character. While all of the players use the same skill tree, you’ll all be starting in different places on it. The tree is almost web-like, with over 1,325 skills. You can just imagine the thousands of possibilities you can execute within this skill tree alone. It’s understandable if you’re intimidated by this, especially if it’s your first time seeing such a complicated way of distributing skill points. Luckily for you, Path of Exile has a page that can let your toy around the passive skill tree. Here, you can experiment with whatever builds you desire. Once you’re done with the building process, you can simply copy it for your character. Check out the passive skill tree maker here!

GG: Gems and Gear

There are so many skill gems in Path of Exile. These shiny rocks have a huge impact on the skills that your character will have. Selecting skill gems can be tedious, as you constantly have to check the details of every skill gem you’re interested in on wikis and blogs. But trust us, the research you’ll be doing will highly benefit you!

Gearing up can alter certain mechanics and make the game more enjoyable for you. Having unique items that can complement your build will not only make your character stronger, but it can potentially unlock bonuses in terms of skills and attributes. Granted that some gear is worth a lot of PoE currency and PoE orbs, but you’re bound to run into cheaper alternatives.

There you have it! Those are our tips for creating the perfect build for your character. So did you learn a thing or two about what it takes to construct these thingamajigs? Do you have any other suggestions with regards to creating a build? Let us know your thoughts by leaving a comment down below!

PATH OF EXILE ITEMS YOU SHOULD CONSIDER FARMING

In Path of Exile, the epic ARPG title from Grinding Gear Games, farming items plays an intricately huge part of your experience. You will soon become familiar with the ways of combat, currency in the form of PoE orbs and PoE currency, and of course, farming when starting out. With that in mind, you may want to know just what kind of items are worth grinding it out for, so here are a few that you will definitely want to consider during your time with this sensational free-to-play title.

PoE Orbs and PoE Items

Tabula Rasa

Unique items and odd rare items are things you will inevitably come across and they may save you from having to buy PoE currency. The first item we’ll tackle is the Tabula Rasa robe, which can be farmed via the humility divination card found in Blood Aquaduct. This is a great place for power leveling up for Hardcore players also, which will help you farm the required cards. What’s more, it is also useful to gain XP here as there are a lot of enemies. Fortunately, that also raises the chances of dropping the card.

This item is a simple robe that features six sockets, and would normally set you back five Chaos Orb or a single Divine Orb. Interestingly, the name derives the Latin term of ‘Blank Slate’ which is essentially what this robe is. On its own, it is capable of very little, having no base or defense values. However, depending on how you choose to level it, the Tabula Rasa has plenty of potential for enhancement and can come in handy for new players who want to experiment with gems and find a suitable build.

PoE Orbs

Elegant Ringmail

Another one of the notable PoE items is the Elegant Ringmail. Before jumping into this item, it is worth mentioning that it will require a pretty hefty amount of rings, 60 to be exact, for you to obtain it.

The Ringmail has several variables and six sockets for you to use and has plenty of effective base stats that will prove to be quite useful regardless of the build that you are going for. Perhaps the most important of the said stats is the Maximum Resistances, which can roll up to 80%, with better rolls obtainable via the use of a Divine Orb. On the subject of the Divine Orb, if you managed to farm the previous item we discussed, the Tabula Rasa, you can sell it for a Divine Orb, which can then be used to increase your percentages with the Elegant Ringmail.

Oni Goroshi

If it is weaponry is more your thing, then look no further than the Oni Goroshi. This one-handed sword can only be farmed in the Twilight Strand area of the game and will require you to reset the zone if you want to get your hands on it. To do so, you will need to use around four characters and find Hillock the Blacksmith and kill him. From there, you will come up against Uber Hillock, who will prove to be more of a challenge than the regular Hillock—which is to be expected. What’s great about the Oni Goroshi is that it has the capability of buffing attack and movement speed when an enemy is ignited, and can also pack a significant amount of fire damage. It also proves to be suitable for any build, since there is no stat requirement for you to use it.

These are just a few of the items that you can farm in Path of Exile without having to worry about spending too many of your PoE Orb or PoE currency. They can be farmed completely for free with minimal time and effort. You will soon find yourself with some unique and useful items to do with as you please, regardless of your build.

Path of Exile: A Brief Introduction to the Shadow Class

Path of Exile Shadow Class

If you are new to the popular ARPG Path of Exile, then several features may seem a bit alien to you at first. There are a few things that you need to wrap your head around, such as utilizing PoE Orbs, jewellers orb, and buy PoE currency. Perhaps more importantly, you just need to figure out how certain classes work and whether or not they cater to your personal gaming style. This article will discuss one of the classes that will be available to you during your time in the game.

The Shadow Class is one of the hybrid classes in Path of Exile. Choosing this class will see the player opting for quick-use melee weapons such as daggers, claws and other close-range short-but-deadly weaponry. The way of the Shadow also sees a tactical approach with the use of traps, as players attempt to always stay one step ahead.

The class itself isn’t without its drawbacks, however. It is considered by many players to be one of the hardest classes to play since they are far more fragile to attack than other classes. Nevertheless, the evasive techniques used by the Shadow allow players to counter this disadvantage, courtesy of the traps used and energy shield at their disposal. The Shadow also adopts the use of masks, coats, spiked shields, garbs, raiments, and mitts for their armor.

Ascendancy Classes

Ascendancy classes are sub-classes that can be chosen by the player and be made use of after completing the Labyrinth for the first time. From here, players will be able to access the Ascendancy skill tree which caters to their specific class. Ascendancy skill points can be gained for completing the Labyrinths, which can be unlocked as you progress through the Acts in the game. A total of eight points can be spent on new skills, following the unlocking of the Eternal Labyrinth, but you don’t need to worry about that until you reach post-game.

There are three Ascendancy classes for the Shadow, which are made up of the Assassin, Saboteur, and Trickster.

Assassin

By choosing the Assassin, players will experience a methodology that focuses on critical striking. There are a number of skills available to the Assassin which will enhance how effective these strikes are, with power leveling charges being progressed and bonus damage being attached to them. These strikes are subject to certain conditions, but can have devastating effects on their opponents. This ascendancy gives players the feel of a true Shadow, allowing them to further their critical damage bonuses with the use of poison, as well as increasing their speed with particular buffs.

Saboteur

The Saboteur approach differs slightly but is all the same just as deadly a choice as the Assassin if used correctly. As mentioned in the introduction, the Shadow class makes use of traps and mines, and that is where this ascendancy comes directly into play, managing to use the specialist skill to gain a significant advantage. On the subject of advantages, the Saboteur also possesses the ability of regeneration and is immune to many ailments that the opponent may choose to inflict upon them.

The Saboteur specializes in traps and mines to greatly enhance their utility. The class also possesses other utility bonuses like blind synergy, area of effect bonuses, regeneration, and ailment immunities.

Trickster

The Trickster sub-class offers a potent mixture of speed and evasion that resembles the true mark of the Shadow. There is also a heavy focus on defence, using the likes of Shade Form and Escape Artist to add further dimensions to their defenses. While this does encourage the player to take the odd hit, the rewards are certainly beneficial for doing so. Reduced mana consumption is also a highlight from such instances as Weave the Arcane, and can also gain charge generation for Power and Frenzy.

Now that you have an idea of the benefits of choosing the Shadow class, you should be ready to delve deeper into the depths of Path of Exile and explore different builds to make you an extremely formidable force. Don’t forget to learn more about buying PoE Orbs, chaos orbs, exalted orbs standard league, an orb of fusing and experiment with your character’s build to make the most of your PoE currency!

Path of Exile Loot Filters Guide

What Are Loot Filters?

Loot filters allow you to customize which item labels you want to be displayed in your inventory. Whether it’s the color of the text, drop sound effects, size of the text, or certain items for your class, you can choose which of the resources you want to be displayed. This automatically hides any potentially bad items that you’ll get—or ones that aren’t necessary for your class. By completely hiding certain item drops that you don’t need, this sorts out your inventory and makes it look more organized. However, do note that this will remove your ability to pick up hidden items unless you hold down the item drop hotkey for a good second.
